Rossi returns at Brno to clinch pole.

MOTOGP returns after a short break to Brno only for Valentino Rossi to take pole for one of the all important Czech GP. The Yamaha champ took 1.3 secs of the 2005 pole time.

Loris Capirossi came 2nd, almost 0.3 of a second behind Rossi, and surprisingly, KRJR took the final spot on the front row ahead of the Honda frontrunners. Hayden and Shinya Nakano start from the 2nd row while Tony Elias and Randy DePuniet have surprised with their qualifying times. Thankfully, Dani boy is down in 9th place.

We are going to see one heck of a head-to-head battle betwen the two Italians, and if all goes well, I think I'll place my money on...you know who.
Will place a summary of the race tomorrow if I don't miss it.

Winning races is the last thing he should be worrying about. Even if Hayden finishes 2nd in all the races, he'l be champ.

And Rossi has 2 more Hondas ahead of him. Dani and Marco.

These last few races will be worth watching coz it's gonna be a real dog fight.

Hayden ain't capable of finishing 2nd in all races with the likes of Capirossi and Melandri. He's super nothing except super lucky this year.

Dani boy hasn't posed too much of a threat to Rossi this year. Guess he needs to come to grips with riding against a real man, and getting his butt kicked even with his weight advantage.

Loris Capirossi Wins !!!!

Loris Capirossi wins at Brno. YAHOOO!!! DUCATI fans rejoice!!! not a bad race by Rossi either, he picks up some very crucial championship points. Seeing the way he rode 2day, expect Valentino to be in the top 2 for every race now (hopefully 1st). But hats off to Loris and Ducati.

Loris Capirossi lead the race from start to end...It was truly a fabulous ride from him. Valentino Rossi, who finished 2nd, said he had problems wih temparature. Seems he did not exepct it to be so hot and that's probably why he switched to a soft front and a hard rear. Dani Pedrossa gave Rossi quite some scares but eventually it was the Doctor who prevailed.

Pedrosa started from way back on the grid and quickly passed Hayden for 3rd, the latter having rear tyre grip problems, and was relegated to 9th on the last corner. 4th to 8th were KRJR, Marco Melandri, Casey Stoner, John Hopkins and Shinya Nakano. Hayden was edged out by the last 2 in the last chicane.

Rossi really had front grip problems which could be seen by the fact that he was going slightly sideways on downhill curves, masking the front tyre problems. Those induced slides probably put him furthur away from Capirossi.
Pedrossa stole up on Rossi quite a few times but Rossi wouldn't let him stay in front for more than a few hundred mts. Capirossi rode a faultless race and his tyres responded very well.

Congrats Loris on a great race. Pedrossa and Rossi are now just 25 and 38 points behind championship leader Nicky Hayden. Should Hayden have one more bad race things will heat up really fast and he'll probably soon be out of contention.

Looking forward to Sepang on 10th September.
