Renault F1 team to return!

Renault will be returning to Formula 1 as a constructor. Renault has stated that it has signed a letter of intent to take over the Lotus F1 team. The agreement between Renault and Gravity Motorsports S.a.r.l to take over cash strapped Lotus marks the French manufacturer's first move towards getting its team at the starting grid of the 2016 racing season. The company had earlier shown interest in taking over the Sahara Force India F1 team.

Renault and Gravity Motorsports will be processing the deal over the next few weeks, to turn the initial undertaking into a "definitive transaction". The team traces its F1 roots back to 1977 and last won the constructors’ world championship in 2005 and 2006 with Fernando Alonso, who is now with McLaren.

Renault has been an engine supplier to Red Bull and Toro Rosso, with the contracts set to expire in 2016.

Have Alonso back!

We have a winning combination. I think only these people can stop the merc boys.
The finger boy would have to step down from the podium (from the consistent third spot that is)

They left at the end of 2009 after the Singapore Gp-Crashgate came in the open. Maybe they are returning to save the Lotus team which was earlier called Renault...

Renault need to make a fresh start to this, and bringing back either Flavio or Alonso does not make any sense. It's not like they know how to design an F1 engine!

And the deal is finally done and thank god Enstone team survives. They are the awesome bunch of people to not to be on the grid. Hope to see yellow and black on the grid and all the best with Maldonado. Hope Alonso gets back to Renault and win a Championship again.
