So Charles get to keep his pole position as Ferrari is not changing his gearbox.
All the right ingredients for an exciting race this Sunday. The dive into the first corner is so critical for Charles to have an any hope of a win.

This is Ferrari's first pole in a long time and stand a great chance to win a race after a disastrous 2020 season.

Ferrari confirm Leclerc will start on pole in Monaco after giving his gearbox the all-clear

Seemingly big drama for Ferrari even before the start.

Ferrari have just confirmed that Charles will not be able to start the Monaco GP, effectively leaving us with only 19 cars starting.

Such a bad day for Leclerc ! We could have had an amazing race between him and Max. I'm rooting for Lando to get podium today !! That McLaren looks so beautiful. Keep an eye out on Lewis, he'll fight back very hard as always ! Let's gooo

Looks like I spoke too soon. Charles string of bad luck continues at Monaco GP.
Such a disappointment for Ferrari and Charles.
All critics of Charles stating that he crashed deliberately are silenced now.

Great weekend for RedBull.

They maximized all the opportunity to gain over Mercedes this weekend!

Max leads the drivers champion and Red Bull the constructors by 4 and 1 point respectively.

Poor Charles, that was really tough on him. With the pace the Ferrari carried, a win was definite!

Bottas being the other unlucky chap. An easy podium finish to DNF for no fault of his!

What a drive by Vettel!

A much deserved DODT and big point haul for Aston Martin with double-points finish!
Shame that the television director cut through the pit exit where Vettel pulled a super move on Gasly, just to show a mistake by a Stroll!

Heard that races in Monaco always have an independent television directors supplied by them and not from F1. True?

Max verstappen is leading the drivers championship now.
Redbull is leading in the constructors points.
Looks like this time around there ain't going to be much broke honda memes. They have shut everyone up for good before leaving F1 this year.

What a Race today!

Max, all the way!

This screwed up Botass's race and pushed Mercedes to 2nd from the top as a constructor.

Monaco Points

Lewis managed to grab that 1 point for the fastest lap. And he did set a new record while doing that!

Mclaren looking strong in the hands of Norris, equally weak in the hands of Daniel. I personally feel that McLaren is not for Riccardo, like it wasn't for Alonso.
He should shift next year, psst - Mercedes would probably be having a slot next year Daniel.

Re: Formula 1 | 2021 Monaco Grand Prix | Monaco Street Circuit (20-23 May 2021)

God, this was an exciting race. I was expecting another good old single file monaco sunday, instead what we got was amazing drives and a lot of drama! From Charles not starting, to Bottas continuing his bad luck with the Mercedes pit stops.

The results of this race was very interesting though, might be foreshadowing the new era of F1? The podium was filled with the new comers. Max, Lando and Carlos deserve their podium with their amazing performances.

But that doesn't stop the old timer Sebastian from showing his true potential, with that amazing overtake of Gasly.

The part that most people are interested in are the losers though, in my book, Charles and Bottas were the biggest losers. But don't forget Ricciardo and Hamilton, it was a very rough weekend for them. Their loss was someone else's gain.

For us fans, it just brightens the mood around the title fight (both constructors and drivers) as Mercedes and Hamilton are at last not leading both titles, even if this might be temporary. I hope Redbull and Ferrari continue this form and give Merc a good fight right before the next era starts!

Absolute domination by Max there ! He's leading the drivers championship now. A day to forget in the Mercedes garage, I feel sad for Bottas, missed out on podium for no fault of his. So happy for Lando and McLaren. Is this the McLaren rising we are witnessing

Re: Formula 1 | 2021 Monaco Grand Prix | Monaco Street Circuit (20-23 May 2021)

Ferrari took the gamble of not changing the gearbox and had to pay for it. You win some and you lose some.
Leclerc not starting the race took some sting out of the race. Max didn’t get off the line particularly well but was aggressive enough to close the door for Bottas before the 1st corner.

Mercedes strategy of undercutting by pitting Hamilton didn’t work this time . Disappointment for Bottas you simply can’t do anything for things which are not in your control.
Brilliant drive from Lando Norris to finish on the Podium. Good to see vettel so high up on the leader board after quite a while.

The Pole sitter and top three finishers today are the future of F1.

“Max Verstappen leading the drivers’ standings” We should get used to this statement, for sure are going to hear it frequently in the future.

It is probably because of the camera angle. Serena, no doubt a big frame, but like you said, in this case it's more due to the camera effect.

Coulthard and Sainz look huge compared to Norris.

Re: Formula 1 | 2021 Monaco Grand Prix | Monaco Street Circuit (20-23 May 2021)

While the result was good with Sianz and Norris being new faces on podium apart from the usual three, the race was a boring affair on-track. The only things that made a difference was pit error and pit strategy. Otherwise, a forgetful on-track race in my opinion.

Although in the championship race, this might prove to be the watershed moment for Redbull & Max.
