Re: Formula 1 | 2021 Austrian Grand Prix | Red Bull Ring | 02-04 July 2021

With Sainz performing like he is now, I now wonder what would have been if Redbull had kept him. I think writing off Carlos Sainz and allowing him to be take by Renault was the biggest mistake RB did that led to two lackluster years with no one to push Max and RB forced to promote their rookies into the pressure Cooker i.e. the senior team.

They were too focussed and starry eyed about their Golden Boy Max that they forgot that it takes 2 drivers to win championships.

Stellar drive by Carlos and absolutely spot on strategy by Ferrari for 2 weeks straight.

Leclerc has been a bit too aggressive for the past 2 weeks. Except the first incident with Perez, everything else was him being a bit too rash. He almost crashed twice into Ricciardo while trying to divebomb him.

(As far as Ferrari is concerned it seems like appointing the new strategist is working. Ferrari's new strategists is 26byear old Ravin Jain. Also Mattia giving track side resp. to someone more fit for it and focussing on his own strengths in the factory & engineering side seems to have brought Ferrari back to a stable base.)
