Why would you say that? Do you have a problem with night cricket? Similarly, the race would only take place at night IF the circuit is lit up like daylight! And that's definitely possible as it is only a matter of costs.

But why does S'pore want F1 race in Night?

Few reasons I can think of:
- Novelty of being the first ever F1 night race
- Temperature is lower
- Makes for better TV viewership in the West, as the timings are better suited.
- It is a street circuit, hence it could be used as a public road in the first half of the day before it is closed down.

My friends in singapore have the circuit map. Will try and get a hold of it. It's in front of marina bay and close to Suntec city.

The Singapore govt has stated the quality of illumination will be equal to a daylight race and infact more consistent all around the track.
