Kimi Raikkonen returns to racing: Will make Nascar Cup Series debut with Project91

2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen has announced his return to racing after calling quits on his F1 career at the end of 2021.

The Finnish driver will be making his Nascar Cup Series debut later this year, driving for the Trackhouse Racing Team. The one-off event will see Kimi take part in a road course race, driving a Chevrolet Camaro at Watkins Glen International on August 21st. He will be teaming up with Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain.

Kimi Raikkonen is the first driver to be part of the PROJECT91 racing programme - designed to showcase the talent of racing drivers from all across the world.

Very happy to see Kimi Raikkonen back on the race track, looks like he couldn't stay away for long after all

I'm part of a F1 whatsapp group with mostly Indians and a few europeans and when the news that Kimi is returning to a race track got out the entire group practically imploded with messages for a good 20 minutes before things calmed down

Can't wait to see how Kimi does in Nascar.
