I think his temper is the only reason he is still stuck with 2 WC (apart from McLaren's super quick but painfully unreliable MP4-20 in 2005 and Schumi's engine blow out in Japan '06)

Exactly, expect more of this in 2023, now that he has learnt his lesson in all the botch ups SF did in 2022. Its like the learning acquired in 2019 Austrian GP when he mentioned in post race conference that he will 'adjust' his driving style to fight more near the limits (and he did!).

Voted for Max for the same reasons mentioned by everyone - faultless driving, consistency, and a winning mentality.

Seriously considered voting for Charles because of the sheer pace he showed in some races. Also, the battles that he had with Max were a pure joy to watch for a racing enthusiast.

A lot of drivers had their moments as you can see in the 'Driver of the Day' list below. Also gives you a highlight of the season:

Also on a lighter note, did Ricciardo just bail on this photoshoot?

I think the photo was taken during the start of the season and Daniel was isolating due to Covid during this time?

Re: Vote for your F1 Driver of 2022

This was an incredible season with a clear winner after the first half of the season.

Max - Was genuinely fast, He was the first corner Badshah. He wasnt that quick in the quali but my god did he make up for it in the race. Incredible strategy by Redbull ensured it was a clinical season for him.

Charles - He was second in the points and second overall for me because he did have a few issues. Crashed out of French GP and a barrage of strategy misfires ensured he couldnt do much.

George Russel - He is the type of guy who gives socks for secret santa! His performance except for the error in Silverstone has been commendable. Not to forget he did beat Lewis in equal machinery. If merc is fast next year, the battle between the drivers is going to be electric.

Lando - He has consistently outperformed that car, he is destined for better things if Mclaren can clean up their act and give him a car that can perform. Not to mention that his new teammate comes from some pedigree and a bunch of teams wanted to snatch him up after the Alpine debacle.

Rest of the grid showed some form initially, Ocon did a good job overall considering he scored more points than Alonso. Yuki was surprisingly quick throughout the season and was beating Pierre on a more regular basis. K-Mag surprised us in Bahrain with a P5 finish! Carlos finally getting a win which was quite controversial. Devries showing up and dominating what was his debut in a backmarker. Zhou has been quite good considering his debut season.

Good entertainment all around with much more races for the fans has made F1 big and slowly getting into countries where F1 wasnt even that big. Next year - Ferrari fans have already claimed as theirs, cant wait for the testing.
