Its a mixed bag, the official app is available only for select TV manufacturers. I had to side load the official app on my Panasonic Android TV. Its a minor inconvenience as it doesn't automatically update but the side loading method is very simple.

How to side load--

https://www.androidpolice.com/how-to...on-android-tv/

It's entirely worth it from cost, contents and quality perspective. You get 2 English commentary feeds (UK is Martin Brundle and Crofty) and official is Jolyon Palmer and Alex Jacques, with DC for some races and James Hinchcliffe for all American races.

Re: Formula 1 : 2024 Season

The Spanish Grand Prix will move to Madrid from 2026 to 2035, around a part-street circuit at IFEMA Madrid.

The circuit itself is set to run past key features of the city including football team Real Madrid's training base and encompassing the IFEMA convention that hosted the F1 exhibition last year.

Capacity for the hybrid street circuit will be around 110,000 across grandstands.

The track looks dull, too many kinks-chicanes like 2008 Singapore layout (without the high speed sections). The only thing that looks interesting is the Istanbul-ish turn (without the 4 apexes), in fact the layout is quite similar to Istanbul Park (again without the exciting bits).

Goodbye to AlphaTauri: Visa Cash App RB will be the new name of the Red Bull subsidiary.

In an unprecedented agreement, "Visa's first major global sports sponsorship in more than 15 years", the Faenza-based team will be renamed Visa Cash App RB, a contract that will benefit both structures and will be signed on the single-seaters of both teams.

Both Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda's new suit and the design of the AT04's successor will be unveiled at a special event in Las Vegas on February 8, while they will be seen in action in Bahrain on February 29.

That name sounds even more ridiculous than the one Alfa Romeo Sauber changed to!

Does the visa company actually think they will get more customers by destroying such a lovely brand name? This name sounds like a poster stuck on a grocery shopping line!

I now wish Mastercard sponsors Ferrari since they always pull a Masterclass. ;-)

May be they were inspired by their old commercial and the F1 team expecting an upgrade as shown at the end of it.

Most decisions like these, especially for non-automobile companies would be sold on having the company brand name on the main logo

- HAAS F1 team (MoneyGram)
- Red Bull (Oracle)
And so on...

Here Visa (brand) and Cash App (platform) were deemed important enough to be put on the main logo and all marketing paraphernalia going forward. The business case internally in Visa would be made on the additional marketing / branding pull generated, not what brand name loss of the previous name would signify to. Not that Alpha Tauri was that big a name to reckon with (plus it's an Red Bull brand/firm).

Possibly not very far from the truth going forward, unless he improves drastically in 2024. One of the side reasons he was brought back by Red Bull as the 3rd driver / test driver is also the involvement in marketing (& sales) events. He's a great talker for such events (unlike say Max). A lot of second rung drivers are kept on (and possibly have indirect targets) for sales/sponsorship purposes; in addition to their driving capabilities. It's quite publicly known that Checko's name brings a lot of money to Red Bull from LATAM markets as well as sponsorship deals from big names in those regions. Same goes for Yuki for Japan market & brands. Iirc Narain K was brought on primarily due to the sponsorship support he brought to the table.

P.s. Visa is a payments processing & card services firm, they don't issue credit cards
