The Summer break is much needed for the teams and their riders but it is an achingly agonising wait for us MotoGP fans! Sachsenring feels like a decade ago.
I cannot wait for the circus to return at Silverstone in less than 10 days' time and looking forward to the 75 years of MotoGP celebrations at the legendary racetrack.
Meanwhile, here's a summary of the past couple of weeks -
1) Pecco Bagnaia is now married!
Pecco Bagnaia has married his long-term partner Domizia Castagnini, who's a regular in the Ducati Lenovo paddock. Amongst the guests were Valentino Rossi, Luca Marini, Franco Morbidelli, Marco Bezzecchi and Enea Bastianini.

Johann Zarco became a rookie winner of the Suzuka 8 hours with TeamHRC. Rather than enjoying a weekend off during the summer break, Zarco was taking part in the famous endurance motorcycle race in Japan, teaming alongside Takumi Takahashi and Teppei Nagoe.

Elsewhere, Jack Miller has used the MotoGP summer break to take part in a ‘bucket list race’ in the Australian ProMX Motocross Championship. The Red Bull KTM rider finished just outside of the points in 23rd and 24th places in the MX1 class at Echo Valley, in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Trackhouse Racing is on the verge of revealing the first of its rider signings for the 2025 MotoGP season, after posting on social media: “I think we found our guy.”.
While Raul Fernandez is expected to stay with mutual interest, it is the curious case of Miguel Oliveira that is intriguing. Miguel finally hit form on his RS-GP in Sachsenring and Trackhouse did mention that they wanted to retain him in the team despite rival teams scouting for the Portuguese rider as well.
However, the social media announcement didn't have the feel of a renewal-type of announcement but rather like the arrival of a new rider to the team. Moto2 Kalex rider, Joe Roberts has been linked with a move to Trackhouse several times with the assumption that the American team would back an American rider. But, Trackhouse has also maintained that they are looking for performance first and are not there just to be a junior team to train up young riders so, Joe Roberts move doesn't quite add up.
Jack Miller, currently without a ride, could be the potential candidate to fill the seat with tonnes of experience spread across different manufacturers.
It is just a matter of time before the announcement is made.
