Re: 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix | Miami International Autodrome | 2-4 May 2025

Teams unveil special liveries for the Miami Grand Prix.

IMO the Racing Bulls regular livery is surely one of the best on the current grid. This special edition looks good too!

Apparently, it's based on the Red Bull Summer Edition White Peach flavour:

Wonder if the actual cars will have the wheel design:

I don't get what's so special about this livery from Ferrari:

This edition of Kick Sauber looks almost the same as the regular car:

Woah! Anything that can get the most storied team in F1 to don anything other than their traditional racing red is significant. I guess the deal with HP is worth a lot for them to use HP blue even for one race. I guess it's like when Barca finally started displaying sponsor logos on their shirts?

It's quite a big deal with regards to their (Ferrari's) title sponsor, HP. Miami F1 GP is now one of the biggest sporting events for the US market; there are already comparisons being made for this GP to the Super Bowl and sorts.

The tickets for the weekend are sold out; Miami city is heating up for the weekend. Yes, IT IS A BIG DEAL (for HP atleast) from a marketing standpoint

-----

Now whether Ferrari is able to make any improvements on the race track is a different story. Let's hope they do; (and fingers' crossed) we see some Hamilton magic this weekend.

Kimi takes the sprint pole. That is a fantastic achievement from the youngster. Assuming the car remains competitive, expect Kimi to start dominating over the next few years. I had my doubts when Toto was hyping him, but looks like he is going to be proved right.

And Max answers back in style by getting the pole position, how he keeps putting those hot laps with that slower car on the grid is just mind-blowing.

Re: 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix | Miami International Autodrome | 2-4 May 2025

Great effort from Max, its a comeback, I must say ( 43rd pole position! )

I expected Hamilton to overcome the pressure and make it to Q3, sadly he could not :(

Strong dedication and brilliant team work from Williams - Both the drivers made it upto Q3!

Had strong hopes on Kimi - guess he could have done better, still 3rd is really good for the 18 year old

Re: 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix | Miami International Autodrome | 2-4 May 2025

Watched the Main Race replay in the morning. After the 1st 20 laps, the rest of the race was routine and predictable.

Russel was lucky to overtake Max during VSC pit stops

Hamilton's charge on Mediums fizzled out very quickly once he came across Leclerc

Excellent drive by Piastri again and the way he overtook Max shows his maturity. Not everyone or everyday you can force Max to make a mistake. Very controlled drive once he overtook Max.

Norris will not win the Championship this way. He should know better that he has the car to overtake in the race and not make mistakes in the 1st lap. He continues to make mistakes which eventually can prove to be the difference.

Williams look stronger with each race

Re: 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix | Miami International Autodrome | 2-4 May 2025

When Lewis radioed "You want me to let him past as well?" Adami should have just replied: "No, we'd want you to swap seats back with Sainz please." This is the unravelling of the biggest downfall of F1's so-called GOAT

This reminds me of the Alonso - McLaren radio calls which was full of negativity and hopelessness. I thought Lewis is much more mature for this kind of sarcasm.

kind of understand if Max did this and he has done this before as well. But he looks more mature in radio communication this year.

I see that you have mentioned it as so-called GOAT, anyways as you mentioned the season is unravelling the other side of Lewis.

Would like to quote from the Movie "The Dark Knight" - "you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain"

Should Lewis have the quit the sports or continued with Mercedes?? Lets wait ..

Re: 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix | Miami International Autodrome | 2-4 May 2025

Lewis is a 7 time world champion, he hasn’t forgotten to drive all of a sudden. Team support is not top level also so have to give him time. Different car to drive after 10-11 years totally with Mercedes. He’s used to good decisions and support from the pit wall which is not there with Ferrari either. The sarcasm and frustration is understandable.

I feel he will come to grips with the car sooner or later and we shall see.

Not a die hard Lewis or anyone else’s fan, just looking at the situation differently. In fact I stopped watching Formula 1 from last year after following it since 1991 because I find it extremely boring and long. Moto GP is where it’s at for me.

Cheers

Re: 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix | Miami International Autodrome | 2-4 May 2025

I think both British drivers, Norris and Hamilton have some introspection to do. Both were boosted as more talented, but are being comfortably outclassed by their teammates. Hamilton must be wondering about his decision, especially seeing what the rookie driver is doing with the Merc.

While I certainly didn't expect him to win the championship with Ferrari in his first season, I expected a few more podiums by now, surely. All in all that 8th doesn't seem likely.

Frankly, Leclerc isn't achieving podiums with that Ferrari either. So, it's the car not the driver. That said Lewis has to work on his one lap pace for the quali. Things are different at Ferrari after being at Mercedes for more than a decade, so let's see if Lewis outpaced Charles.
