Observe that he has done 20 to 30 laps more than any other front runners. Secondly, we do not know the fuel levels of other cars and each team could have their own agenda and not everyone is looking to set the fastest time.

having said that, have a look at what dc have to say.

i can tell u that Pedro's 1.21.857 was done trying to beat Michael's time.he set out to do that. That is what was told in the commentry i was reading.

If u go through the previous posts,Michael did 1.21.486 before lunch.he had done just 20 laps then.those 70 laps were done afterwards,so it means nothing.

Another way to look at it is that he has done several hundred laps less than each of the front runners. They were all running the cars through out the season. And Massa was quite competitive in patches during the season was he not?

Sometimes I wish a situation would manifest itself, forcing Scuderia to beg the Baron to return - Say like Kimi or Massa is indisposed towards the end of the season and constructors title is in jeopardy...something like that. After lots of cajoling, the king relents and comes back for a last hurrah.

Wishful thinking at it's best? You bet !!

Those are wheel covers that Ferrari started using at end of 2006 season, they are supposed to imporve cooling and aerodynamics.First they were used only on the rear wheels but in 07 they started using it on the front wheels too.Renault and Toyota are also using them since last year but only on the rear wheels.
