Aah finally.. the first of the F1 car launches . Just makes me happy to know that the start of the new season is drawing closer. I must admit that with its colour combo the Toyota is one the best looking cars on the grid today. Plus it seems quite amusing to see ralf in the Toyota racing gear since we're all so used to seeing him in the Williams gear for the past many seasons.

I find the silver-black combo on the Mclarens, the best.

Honda could look the worst with the introduction of 555. Did you see the racing gear they made Button and Sato get into?? Blue n something.....yuckkk!!!

Well ... I'm HUGELY disappointed.

I was certain that Gascoyne had something up his sleeve, and that the Tf105 would be more Renault-like (short wheelbase - interesting aero). This is far from what I expected. It looks like the 2002 Jaguar

With so many new rules regarding the aero, I had expected all the wind tunnel time spent by Toyota to result in a car that looked more 'adapted' to the new rear wing and the higher front wing.

The FIA claimed that the new aero was designed to reduce downforce without reducing drag, so I had expected them to go on a lookout for new solutions to increase downforce or reduce drag. Not necessarily radical stuff, but new flip-ups and new turning vanes and/or bargeboards must - in my opinion - be relevant areas to modify when you change the air-flow round the front wheels and the rear wing design.

However - let's give Gascoyne a bit of goodwill. It is often seen that new cars are launched with last years bits stuck to the chassis in an attempt to hide any new development. Come march - or even during january and february testing - we might well be watching a very different TF105.
