Awesome race....However wht got me wondering was that shakehand with ferrari engineer from alonso and also during the last podium stand did u see where Alonso was standing next to the ferrari guy.....does this suggest something...????? Move over massa here comes Alonso..???
I wont read much into it.
dont think alonso should be invited to ferrari and then accuse them that they dont want him to won the championship cozz ........
amazing race. as someone already said, kimi is in a mood for payback.
the race was won by ferrari's pit strategy and kimi's awesome 3 laps before his first pitstop. the strategy flawless. kimi started applying pressure on hamilton only a couple of laps before hamilton had to pit. this made his inlaps a lot slower due to defensive driving. and coupled to the scorchers by Kimi, Ferrari knew they had it in their kitty.
what was evident was that Hamilton was running on a low fuel load to get pole in this GP. alonso on the other hand was heavier, which allowed him that 6.1s first pitstop. it was hamilton's mistake all the way. letting emotion ruin the race. still on the podium, though, nonetheless.
Massa's drive deserves a very special mention, he had gained 11 positions within 9 laps of the race. brilliant driving.

i think it was a 6.1s stop for alonso.
1st was 5.6 or 6 secs and second was 8.xx secs.Dont remember exactly.
though total pit times were(including pitlane limiter)
1st Stop
Kimi 26.975 secs Lap 18
Alonso 24.065 secs Lap 20
Difference 2.91 secs
2nd stop
Kimi 24.181 secs Lap 43
Alonso 25.923 secs Lap 37
Difference 1.72 secs
I would have wished Hamilton make up to the first finish though this was his home turf....But Ferrari was simply superb today.
Kudos to Ferrari for their excellent pit-stop strategy and Kimi pushing the Car to the limits to win the race!

Kimi's fantastic strategy and driving was awesome.
Bad day for Hamster, i guess. :) |
Good race, nitrous, i watched a little bit between 24 & 44 laps, i think. Beginning to enjoy it. :)
Ferrari was superb today! And great strategy for Kimi.
But it was 2 Mclaren on the Poidium today and I loved it. ;)
what went wrong with massa's car ? just bad luck with that for ferrari
great driving by massa and kimi
well well, all of a sudden the 'what-happened-to-kimi' brigade seem to have gone quiet..well, atleast for now :)
good to see kimi and alonso back on form. Hamilton did make a few minor mistakes under pressure, but then again..9th consecutive podium. That is the sort of consistency that won Alonso the title last year.
For me, the season is just revvving up...
Massa was heavier than Kimi and i think he had the pace to challenge kimi for the win.But that's if's and but's and i dont want to enter that argument.
Kimi impresses, great drive by Massa, good day for Ferrari besides the start line drama, and just about a normal day for Mclaren in the 2007 season.

Simply because he has given them a reason to.
