Hamilton was simply amazing yesteray. He drove with such confidence that he put others to shame.

Sad, Kimi couldnt impress much and Robert Kubica was a DNF. Heikki Kovailenon was good. Seems promising new talent.

Overall, a great race!

Awesome race, seeing the cars drift into corners was to die for. Alonso, especially, was awesome with his car control around corners. Buttttttttttttttttttt what inexcusable errors on Ferraris & Renaults part to have Kimi / Alonso retain their old tyres! That effectively ruined their race. Great start and consistent race pace by Hamilton.

Its mid-season and a 4 way battle to the championship! F1 really doesn't get better than this.

Yes, I think it's high time Chris Goodwin came back. This guy Julian Bailey is so blatantly cheering for Lewis. And he also doesn't fit well as a commentator. He can't speak a few sentences at a stretch & starts stuttering or eats half his words. Steve Slater is normally not that biased but in the company of Julian is becoming biased. Steve hates Kimi - you can always see him saying something tongue in cheek about him. He's once called him a "dumb" racing driver on air!!! Sometimes I feel like pressing the mute button & just watching the race without commentary.

Even though Chris works for McLaren, he's quite neutral as a commentator.

What a drive by Hamilton, his best by far. I was cheering for Hamilton, but was not sure of his chances after his qualifying.

It's a good thing now that he's leading the championship, and I hope he stays like that for the rest of the season.:)

After Japan last year, this has to be the most entertaining race in recent times! Hamilton was ace. He managed to hold it together in the melee that panned out on race day. Ferrari must be pulling their hair out. This was a race they could have finished 2nd at the very least.

There are a few exciting races ahead and if BMW can get their act together, a 4-way fight is in store.

Agree on both counts. Hamilton mania can get to the most neutral at times.

Given all the publicity surrounding Hamilton especially from the British press, I'm beginning to believe that his skills/ability is being over-hyped now. Make no mistake, I know he's good but they're already beginning to tip him as the greatest ever driver (Alan Henry's new book ranking the Top 100 F1 drivers is proof) and I find that hard to believe, I mean he still has a long way to go & win a championship at least before being in contention. They make him sound like the best thing since sliced bread! :p

And at the back of my mind comes a name with similar hype when he first started out at Williams, Jacques Villenueve. Anybody remember what happened to him?

I would agree with you. Add to that the fact that he's a sore loser as well. For those of you who watched the qualifying, did you see how he pointedly ignored Heikki & didn't congratulate him at all at the end of it! He's Mr Nice Guy as long as the dice rolls in his favor that's all.

And that was an unforgiveably stupid decision on Ferrari's part not to change Kimi's tyres:Frustrati, I think it would have been a different story had they stuck to the basics

Agree to you dude...no doubts that hamilton is a great driver, but he's not the best driver alive today. Kid's gotta learn a lot. But do u guys know hamilton and his fathers karting story????

Yes, the British press will kill Hamilton with their obsession for him. Many British sportsmen have suffered due to the high expectations of the British Press - Tim Henman (tennis player) is one who comes to my mind.

Hamilton must also behave better. He hardly has any respect for other drivers. In one of the races where he slid to the bottom of the grid, whenever he overtook drivers who were placed ahead of him, he showed them a disrespectful gesture - pointed his thumb to the back of his car - as though to say, that's where you belong.

He did not apologize to Kimi after rear ending him the pit lane in Montreal. And I just read on the internet that he's announced (after winning the British Grand Prix) that "This (race) showed I have the best concentration and I am the strongest."

This guy is behaving like Schumacher already - but the only difference is that he is yet to win a driver's title. Somebody bring him crashing back to earth.

I couldn't agree any more. I like Hamilton for what the achieved in his debut year, but the press make him seem like a demi-God! He clearly isn't.....heck, he cant even handle pressure very well.

But then, what do you expect when a majority of the F1 reporting press is British?

He himself will come crashing down. Though what I like about him is his sheer aggression.

Kimi on the other hand is more talent, calm and composed and works exceedingly well under pressure.

Majority of the F1 teams are british owned, based out of London, and the world is watching HAMILTON, theres no 2 ways about it.

Hamilton was at his best. He drove a superb race. Thoroughly deserved the victory and the face of it the world championship.

Also a brilliant drive by nelson to finish second from 17th with one stop stratergy.
