Just saw this article. Will Honda accept a step-son into it's family?
Ferrari prepared to provide Honda team with engines

It's not Honda that has asked Ferrari for Engines.

Ross Brawn approched them, because Honda have said they will NOT supply the team with engines. So any outfit that buys Honda will have to source engines.

With an engine supplier in place - it will be easier to sell Honda. Honda wont be on the 2009 Grid.

Honda-Ferrari F1 ? Honda has got all the money in world to buy the complete Ferrari F1 team why would they need to get engines from Ferrari tags

I think the thread starter has put confusing words in his post.

The team is being sold. It will not be a Honda team. Some xyz team with Ferrari engines.

Exactly ! It's no longer Honda-Racing-Team, if they find a buyer they would just become another independent team like Williams (Toyota engines), Red-Bull (Renault engines), Torro-Rosso (Ferrari engines), & Force-India (Ferrari engines)...
