Formula One - Abu Dhabi

Hello guys,
I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the historic first race at the Abu Dhabi Yas Marina Circuit. In 2007, when Abu Dhabi received the go ahead for the Formula 1, there was nothing but barren land/sand all reclaimed. It took them about one and a half years to put up the state of the art infrastructure, a dozen hotels, etc. Truly a feat.

I would like to share with you guys some of those photographs from the F1 event. This includes, Porsche Cup, Chevrolet Middle East, GP 2 Asia & Formula 1. The photographs from last evening have not yet been updated but will be done by tonight.

How much did your GP ticket cost?

I did not have to pay for the tickets as I was invited. But they cost about AED1600/- for the grandstand.

Well We had the Tickets for all Four days "Which included a 1st day to the pitlane called the pitlane walk".!.! If ur actually planning to go next year please do, this something you would not want to miss.!.! By the way get tickets to the South Grand Stands. were u'll b able to watch the cars slowing down from 320-330 kmph straight line to a 30-20kmph left bender. the noise is to die for "all those bangs bangs (like thunder infact) when they down shift to the corner.Then they go vroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmm to the straights. Good lcuk for your F1 Next Year.!.!

I do believe it isn't open for public yet.

@cbr & varun : Those are killer pictures,

I personally liked the Force india one's and how did you set your cams to capture the speeding cars ? the reason i ask is none of my spa pictures came out as good.
