Williams and Toyota Disqualfied!!

Williams and Toyota have been disqualified for using illegal brake cooling ducts!

AFP are reporting that both teams featured illegal brake cooling ducts and have therefore been disqualified. The breaking news means that Ferrari secured a Canadian one-two result ahead of Button in his BAR Honda. The rest of the pack shuffles up with Giancarlo Fisichella moving from sixth to fourth in his Sauber Petronas ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in fifth , Coulthard in sixth,. It is double- delight for Jordan Ford as both Timo Glock and Nick Heidfeld are now classified in seventh and eight positions respectively.

OMG

Well just read that piece of news and that is really unfortunate. Seems like luck is just not favouring the rest. Another 1-2 for Ferrari .. Kimi gets more points and thats good for him. And cheers to Glock for scdoring points in his First GP...

Ya, really bad for Williams but more for Ralf after so much of hard work he had done for qualifying and for race as well ....
But, a salute to Ross Brawn for an awesome strategy simply great...
Glock getting points cool man...
Toyota wanted to appeal against the DQ but they missed the dead line ......hehehe

Hey aren't the cars checked after the qualifying? How did they even let the cars race?

The Subaru team in WRC got DSQ for not fitting mud flaps on one of their cars, imagine that!!!!!!

after qualifying the teams can do a 'rough' check and then the cars go into parc ferme
cars go in for scrutiny only after the race..
