Ralf schumacher joins toyota...below is the quote from rediff.

Toyota in three-year deal with Ralf Schumacher

Williams driver Ralf Schumacher signed a three-year deal with Toyota from the 2005 season, the formula one team announced on Wednesday.

"He has proven himself to be an extremely quick racing driver in his career, and I am sure that his vast experience will be extremely beneficial to our team," said team chief Tsutomu Tomita in a statement.

"We have not finalised who will partner Ralf in 2005 and this is something we are in no rush to decide on.

"We are happy with the job that Cristiano (da Matta) and Olivier (Panis) are doing for us and both of them are under consideration for the remaining race seat next season."

Ralf, the brother of world champion Michael, is currently out of action after fracturing his spine in the U.S. Grand Prix last month.

cheers

They are gonna regret this!

think its good for ralf atleast..
toyota's turnover worldwide is about $10.1 BILLION !
they really want the champioship.. and have the resources to get it.. thats for sure..
i think its only a matter of time.. 3 yrs max !

with ferrari spending the way they are..its coming down to who can outspend them.. toyota are the only ones who can..
they also have mike gascoyne.. who did a wonderful job at renault..

nexy yr shud be a good F1 season.. !

Maybe, Toyota wants an experienced German driver. Afterall, they're based in Cologne.

Yup, the only 2 reason's i see Toyota hiring Ralf is 1- his surname and 2 - his nationality. Too bad none of them have anything to do with driving!

The ideal driver for Toyota would have been David Coulhart. He's quick enough, hard working and got heaps of experience with one of the best teams in Formula 1.

They still have one seat available, and lets hope they use it wisely.

Barri is doing well?? He lets MS win almost every race even if he has a chance of winning it....he is a little too soft at Ferrari.
