The renault looks good..... the new Mc Laren orange didn't really appeal to me. They should have stuck with their black color.

Well the traditional colours of McLaren is orange (more of florescent red). The reason for the change is that WEST Tobacco is no longer with them, and if I remember correctly they changed their traditional RED and white livery to Black and Silver because WEST wanted the cars to be painted in the colour of their packets which are black.
The colours which we see the McLarens are temporary colours and they are set to change when they launch their cars in their new colours, which would be pre dominantly orange. I will miss the Silver Arrows, but change is nice But be rest assured, that the new colours will looks damn neat on the TV even though the photographs would say otherwise. McLaren won 9 world championships, racing in red and white, so i guess its only apt that they change to their successful colours.

Have a look at the Marlboro McLarens..... of the by gone era..

Silver is more associated with Mercedes Benz, than it is McLaren. While the lovely Silver/Black/Red livery of the modern (since 1997, I think) McLarens is instantly recognisable - McLaren had a "Day-Glo" Orange/White Marlboro livery for many years preceding that.

The only thing about the orange these days is that more recent fans to the sport will associate it with the similarly coloured Arrows cars of 1998-2002.

It all comes down to national colours, basically - we had a Orange testing livery from McLaren back before the 1997 season (and remember the partially orange McLaren T-Shirts you saw some of the staff on the pitwall and in pit lane wearing?).

Renault's looks like last year's car. I guess they are sticking with what they know and what has won...the McLaren its not that good looking as Last years car...that yellow doesnt suit it too much.

Dont worry guys, The Mclaren is just a prototype for testing. I am sure Mclaren will get their Sliver Arrows on the grid for the race.

Ermm no haryan thats not the case. JW isint the "title" sponsor. McLaren have chosen Orange because they dont have a Title Sponsor for 06, whose colour they would have to sport otherwise. Hence they have reverted back to their traditional colours.
