Hey everyone,
howz it going ?!
I'm a Banglaore based Software engineer (though I prefer the term The-guy-who-changes-the-world-just-by-hitting-a=few-keys) !! ;-)

I have joined this forum cuz I wanna know more about the expereinces ofpeople who have bought new/used cars.

Also, a quick browse through this site revealed some major expertise in the auto-world. Man was I impressed !!!

I'm planning to buy a used Maruti 800 or an Alto in the very recent future and I'm hoping some of you guys will help me. I;'m a complete newbie in this (its my first car !!), so I'll want to know which are the good/decent automobile vendors that I can start checking out and what would be a decent price range foi a post-2K car.

But I think I'll start that thread somewhere else.

As for now, to quote chris Goodwin (F1 commentator), :

Please stay away from the Maruti 800, and opt for the Alto which is stupendously superior in each and every respect. Spend a little time browsing around to get more info for your first purchase.

Actually, I joined the forum, because while googling I found this excellent piece on buying used cars. Some dudes bad experience.

Personal suggestion : Don't go for 800..buy an Zen or an Alto.
