I use the Benz extensively every day.
Annual Road Tax * * * * * * :- $ *4,520 - 150% normal road tax
3rd party insurance * * * * *:- $ * *800 - 1st excess $ 750
Annual Gasoline * * * * * * * :- $ *6,600 - $ 1.45 per litre
Regular maintenance * * * *:- $ *2,400 - Lubs. parts, car care
Miscellaneous * * * * * * * * :- $ * * 600
Certificate of Entitlement *:- $ *3,600 - a must for every car
Annual operating cost * * * :-$ 18,520
Monthly operating cost * * :-$ * 1,543

It's cheaper to run a 126 than to buy a new car, because you have to add the amotisation cost of the new car.

The vehicle list is over a span of 55 years.

HAPPY MOTORING!

Awesome list SSS11 !!

Was your AJS a rigid frame? Give me some more details/pics if u can plz...
I had started a restore project on a 1947 AJS two years back... but never got the time to finish it.
It has been just lying outside for 10years without having even being moved (forget abt started)... me and my friend managed to get the engine working after a couple of weeks..but never got as far as getting the wheels/brakes/seats in decent condition.

Some pics here.

No, It was a sprung frame, mid 50's vintage. I had it when I was working in the UK. Sorry I dont have any photos to refer to, but I'm sure you can pick up some of the model you have on the net.
That's a looooong time program you have for a rebuild. - Best of luck anyway.

I was invited to race in Madras in the late 60's but couldn't make it due to business commitments.
The sweetest race car to my mind was the Brabham (very forgiving ) & as for the road car, I enjoyed the Saab 9000 the most - but too expensive to maintain.
Now I get my kicks in tinkering around with & driving the 300 SEL.
Happy motoring.
