New BHPian from Kolkata

Hi fellow BHPians,

Was checking out emails on my mobile after waking up, and found out that my membership has been approved! What a way to start a Sunday!

Got the laptop out as fast as I could and started typing up my intro..
Well, here goes...

I am 25, from Kolkata, Software engineer by day (and large part of the evening too..) and auto enthusiast at night. By auto I mean anything that moves on the road, and quite a few that moves off the road, and not the tiny devils that U-turn on almost zero radius and cut your lane like there is no tomorrow..

I'll be truthful, I do not own a car (yet), and sold my motorcycle about a year back. Take my word for it, I was the helmet-wearing, lane-respecting type. However, I plan on having a car soon, hence the registration as I have a few questions.

After registering, I was a little apprehensive as I read horror stories with various degrees of abuses thrown in about the TBHP registration process on a lot of other forums. Well, all I can say to those posters is to keep it sane, simple and short in the registration questions and you can be in. This was my first attempt at registering and here I am!

I heard about TBHP about one of my senior colleagues who is an absolute motorhead, and crazy about all things Fiat. When he heard that I am going to have a car in a few months, the first thing he suggested was to read the ownership reviews on TBHP. I did, and soon I was hooked to other things like travelogues and discussions if a diesel car would seize if you pour petrol in it

Well, that's all I have to say for now! Ask questions if you have any..
Now, allow me to go over to the 'what car?' section...

Understand your feeling completely.

Welcome to Team-BHP. Apart from looking at 'What car' section, I would request you to go through our board rules properly. Have a nice Sunday.

Thanks rudra da for the warm welcome. Yes, I have gone through the forum guidelines. But even if I have missed something, you moderators are there to remind us if we take any missteps, right? :-)

Let me give you a warm welcome on this forum. I am sure you are doing good.

Tell me something about your senior who is crazy about all things Fiat. Is he a member with the forum?

This is most important - you already have two of your posts merged by a moderator today. they are quite serious about every member following forum protocols.

Hope to see you soon - with / without your car - being an enthusiast is more important than owning a car.

take care

Nope, but he's desperate for membership! Having some trouble with membership approval, I guess.

I think you know him, he has mentioned your handle a few times...

I hope to go to some group meet soon, I'll try to drag him along...

Thanks for your welcome!!

Damn! I am famous

Does he have a name, since you mentioned that he knows me?
Does he drive a palio (his second palio) or does he own two Palios?
