Hello BHP-ians,

As the name of my introduction thread states, My membership got approved recently and i was delighted to see the email mentioning same. I do not want to mention the number of times my membership request got rejected

I am Imran from Karwar (a small town on the border of Karnataka and Goa), aged 27 and currently working as Information Security Consultant for an IT company in Bangalore. I own a Hyundai Santro GLS 2008 and FIAT Punto 90HP 2013.

As a kid, I was always fascinated with cars and bikes and my love towards automobiles has been everlasting since then.

I thank the moderators for approving my membership and giving me a chance to be a part of the most renowned auto-enthusiast's community (team-bhp).

Anymore questions about me are more than welcome.

Welcome on board Imran! Karwar is a lovely place. I have been there twice and simply love the town. The RNT Beach is a beautiful change from the dirty crowded beaches along the western coast. And the sea food place, I forget the name, serves finger licking stuff. Planning to visit this December again.

@dushmish The restaurant you are referring to is Amrut maybe, its famous for the sea food.

Karwar is just the right place ! You must have seen the place slowly transform once the naval base started getting commissioned. But in spite of that its a beautiful town.

I bet you must have taken that trip up to Anshi/Joida via Asnoti/Kadra. Any thing there to remember ?

@ampere Thanks. I have been to Dandeli a few times via that route, that was a decade ago.

You will find a few tourist spots and resorts around Karwar, its been a while I have visited my hometown though

Heard that resorts have come up and its quite a tourist attraction these days.

Its been over a decade I have been to my hometown, just passed my Karwar many times while going to Goa

I have quite many memories of that region myself. Hence asked the same. Amazing place. Cant imagine anything better than river Kali flowing across the valley.

Please try to click the "Quote" (single) or "Quote+" for quoting multiple posts. This also makes sure that the "quoted" posts/owners get an intimation that someone has responded to their posts.
