Earned my membership

Though I was little more confident this time than in my previous attempts to get the membership, it didn't come easy had to earn it. In my earlier 2 attempts, first one in which I didn't take those questions seriously, and probably scribbled some gibberish wondering why an online forum requires B-School style admit essays? Then I got a ding, and realized, they do take it seriously. I tried again, this time wrote a little bit more sense, but didn't really spent time thinking over the answers. Guess what, I got another reject, with a polite note stating I could continue use this forum as reader. Now, as time passed and I was a reader for more than 4 years, and kept getting enchanted by the knowledge and like-minded people of this forum. Now that I had booked a new car - which was primarily driven by rave reviews it received on Team Bhp. Moreover, my present car had started giving me old age problems, tires wearing out, ball joints and tie rods breaking and all sought of things. For all these I sought advise of this pious forum. However, I could never thank those wonderful people, nor could ever help a fellow BHPian when they were facing problems and needed assistance. So I decided to go for a third attempt. This time I took things damn seriously to the extent of taking a print-outs of the team bhp rules and agreement, and finding the best one. I drafted my answers in a word document, did grammar and spell checks, and submitted. Then day 1 - no response, day 2 no response.... day 5 membership granted.. Wooh Hooo... I am a Bhpian.. First thing, order the "Live to Drive" Sticker - to help BHPians identify me on road.
Anyway, about me - Shailesh Jha, presently based out of Hyderabad. I owned a few vehicles - starting with Bajaj Chetak, LML Vespa, Maruti Omni, Esteem VX, Ford Escort, Royal Enfield - TB 350, Ford Fiesta 1.6 SXI and now booked Polo GT TSI. My father was in the Military, so a proclivity towards Bullet is obvious. I grew up, lived and studied in 17 states of India and then went to US to work and returned to India a few years back. In the US I drove many vehicles as I use to lease them through company policy- my favourite cars were Hyundai Azera ( it may be surprise to this forum), Subaru Outback and of course the Dodge Charger. I have earlier been members of RE Bullet group at Hyderabad Wanderers, did a few rides with them Hyderabad-Goa, Chennai, Srisalim and around.

Thank you for reading this patiently - once more Woo Hooo..
