Kick-off from a newbie!

*Beep*, my iPhone made a sound notifying me that I had a new e-mail from someone. Little did I know that this e-mail was the stuff that most motorheads dreams would be made of!

Casually, I looked at this notification and it read, “Team-BHP Membership APPROVED!”. My heart leapt at this sweet success of mine! After four failed attempts over the course of 4 months and tomorrow being the 10th anniversary of Team-BHP, this was quite a pleasant surprise.

I count my blessings and thank my lucky stars for being granted this exclusive access to a privileged community; Team-BHP.

I’m Anand, Manager-Email support for a renowned e-commerce company which is based in Bangalore. I’m a 28 year old automobile aficionado from Chennai who moved to Bangalore a year ago. Happily married to a wonderful woman, we’ve been blessed with a daughter. Apart from automobiles, I’m hooked to my PS3.

Sparked with interest from my childhood by looking at snazzy new automobiles, I’ve been a passionate biker since my college days and an automobile enthusiast ever since. I’m constantly awed into silence by looking at glossy pages of automobile magazines adorned with the concept cars and bikes.

Being an ardent motorhead, I’ve been known to spend lavishly on my rides. My wife though is not amused by this

My rides so far:

- Yamaha RX 100 (2006 to 2008)
- Yamaha RX 135 5 speed (2008 to 2011)
- Hero Honda Passion (2011 to present)
- Skoda Octavia 2.0 MPI (Jan’13 to June’13) – had upkeep issues et al. and so, I sold it.
- Maruti Esteem Vxi (July’13 to present)
- Royal Enfield Electra (Awaiting delivery!)

Can’t wait to get started!

Welcome home, Anand!

Would be nice to hear of how the RX135 felt after owning an RX100 (my favourite, owned one for a year).

Wish you'd researched on the forum before buying the Octavia though; that 2.0 petrol was really an unimpressive motor.

Congrats on the Electra. There's a ton of useful threads from Bullet owners. Do pick up tips from them, and share any you come across in your ownership.

Sure GTO, I will share my experience and comparison report between RX100 and RX135. My favourite is RX100 too.

I did not research much before buying Octavia and I paid the price for that.

Thanks! It was a pre-owned car, 2002 model.
