Greetings to Everyone

Namaste and Hello all !

I still cannot believe my membership has been approved in the second attempt itself and I felt like cracking an exam with writing all those answers to the detailed questionnaire !

'Team-bhp', initially, seemed quite intimidating and idiosyncratic for an online forum, but gradually after going through various threads and topics, like every other fellow bhpian, I just fell in love with this 'Humongous Repository' of Automobiles and could not resist from registering though I was denied membership for the first time last year. Yet, like everyone else, I was stalking the threads and silently searching for what all interested me.

This is Manas from Hyderabad and I work as an Asst. Executive Engineer for the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. My endearment with the Automobiles started from the childhood as I found nothing else worthy apart from toy cars to play with which my father used to bring from his tours. As a child, due to the long sojourns that we used to have in our car, i.e. NE 118, I developed an understandable liking to long drives and automobiles and I always had drivers as friends who used to explain me some basics of cars. But in my late teens, distance between cars and me grew due to some reasons [ and also, both of our cars were disposed off before I could get a chance to drive] but I found the fascination reinvigorated when we decided to buy a car after I acquired a 4 wheeler Driving Licence last year .

After some long and tiresome deliberations, we finalized on Swift albeit an old one so that I could perfect my driving skills. I drove for about 13K km on my car in a year and acquired some experience but I feel I am still quite ignorant of the rudimentaries of automobiles which I wish to learn from the finest automobile enthusiasts here.

Apart from cars, I am a blogger and write mostly on Socio-cultural, Historical, Geo-political issues and I love reading books related to History, Philosophy, Evolutionary Sciences etc.

This is all about me and I thank all the people here who have made this place so appealing and wonderful .

What kind of stuff are you hoping to learn. We have threads on almost everything. If you mention specifics we could point you to the best threads.

Cheers,
R

I have been going through the threads in the advice and technical section and found them very resourceful and indeed,I have already learned some lessons.
Any thread on my Car- Swift Vxi [ 2008 made] regarding its maintenance and common problems would be a direct boon to me
