Re: Hi BHPians

Yes, it was Priya, with sky blue color. I remember it being from Maharashtra Scooters limited. There was no mention of Bajaj on it.

We had brought it mainly due to 3 gears as dad did not prefer 4 gears, and all others had 4 gears. Also, the seating height was lower, making it easier for us to drive, as we are all less than 6'.

I was inclined to machines since childhood and during my class 11-12th, I used to service the scooter on my own. It was not very difficult, and I had all the required tools at home.

We had to sell it off after 20yrs of ownership, as some of the body parts started getting rusted, getting insurance was becoming problematic/expensive and we had got another scooter - LML vespa by then.

Priya was getting neglected and we thought to sell it off to someone who could be interested in using it. Luckily, we found someone. Now that I read many restoration threads on Team-BHP, I feel it was probably not a good move to sell it off.

Re: Hi BHPians

@Abhishek It was a bloody good scooter then mainly for it's 3 gears making it easier to drive. You are fortunate to have owned and kept it for 20 yrs. Shouldn't have sold it though.

Would suggest to subscribe to local ncr threads on the forum here:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/team-bhp-meet-section/

Most all meets are arranged through these.

Re: Hi BHPians

Hi Arnabchak,
Verito being rarity is dependent on the location. It is common in Bangalore and other cities (even in Jaipur), but mainly in cab segment.
I had brought the Verito for few reasons:
- I moved to NCR after 12+ years, and was worried about road rage incidents. If one owns a Verito, chances of getting engaged in fights over minor scratches, dents in minimal. Tension free.
- Five people can be accommodated easily
- lot of luggage space
- fuel efficient (15+ in city and 20 on highways, with AC)
- reliable engine (same is present in several other cars like Duster, Terrano, Sunny.....)
- Solid body
- Mahindra at least has service centers all over, Quality of service is as subjective as others.

Regards,
Abhishek
