Team-BHP, yo!

Hello everyone!

I'm Rahul, originally from Darjeeling but been in Bengaluru for about a decade now!

Like many people - I have been following TBHP for a long while now! This forum has been the source of my most trusted place for genuine reviews from 2007 when I bought my first car - the Alto LXi

Currently I own the Hyundai XCent SX(O) VTVT and before that I had my Swift (2012 model). Since my Swift, I have had the habit of giving nicknames to my cars - my Swift I had nicknamed "BRAWN", an acronym I came up with which stands for "Bad Roads Are Welcome Now"! This was after upgrading from the Alto to the Swift, hence BRAWN! My current Xcent I like to call it "BlueSTAR" - blue for the color and STAR for "Such Terrific ARaam"! Cheesy, I know!

Besides cars, my other passion (and side-business) is photography.

It's really great to be a part of this pan-India forum, and hopefully I will be able to contribute to this already expansive knowledge base!

Would love to hear more of your Darjeeling stories.

Thanks Ampere! Will try and post some from my Sikkim/Darjeeling drives as the days go by - although currently I live in Bangalore!

PS - I wasn't aware of my avatar. I remember choosing one which had my daughter on the wheels, not sure how/what/which alcohol pic got posted! Will upload a new one, thanks again!

Thank you Eddy - I wasn't sure which pic of mine got uploaded! I remember selecting one of my daughter's pic on the wheels as my profile pic, not sure if that got changed or something! Will post a clean one now, thanks!

Thanks Tejas - I'm more of a "people" photographer [weddings/engagements/etc etc] and haven't really taken photos of cars! Still, I will definitely post when I do - photographing cars is a different genre altogether

Which part of Darjeeling you are from? Though I am in Pune since last one year, but basically I am from Bagdogra (Darjeeling District) and my wife is from Darjeeling main city (near Mall Road).

Thanks Amyth78 - I'm from Haridashatta in Darjeeling (near Loreto Convent) although my parents have now settled down in Uttorayon (Siliguri). Yes, good to know someone from back home!
