re: The man who helped me become a millionaire has let me in!

That's a warm, humble and memorable intro. Welcome aboard Doc. Just like many Bhpians (I think so), I don't own a house but a Car. Owning a car may not be a big deal these days but I grew-up longing for a car before anything else in my life. Whenever I cross posh looking houses, I incidentally look at the garage rather the house. I guess I still have that habit. That's what brought me here. Love for cars. It's a pleasure to meet similar souls. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks rajeev k. Happy that you read GTO's thread again.

I might not be so mature though. People rarely repent not having been able to save enough currency notes, but they do repent not having lived- we shouldn't compromise on life in favour of money.
What's a conversation without a juxtaposition of ideas. Hence please pardon my ignorance when I take the first chance to suggest that may be you need to upgrade the car.
ABS and airbags for the lady and a proper child seat for the baby
Thank you CrAzY dRiVeR.
My Dad is from Aleppey.
I agree you should live your live.
My sole intention is not to make money.
If I was unethical enough, I would have been richer by around 6-7 million in 6 years of my career by taking kickbacks and asking for a part of my salary to be paid in black money. You wouldn't believe the kind of money doctors get from pharma companies, labs and CT/MRI centers. I could have bought a BMW 3 series at the least.
I'm not saving money for my baby or wife, one day I want to turn an angel investor. I want at least half of my savings to go to educate children from the lower walks of life. What will bring a smile to my face when I'm leaving this beautiful planet, that I had a BMW/ Mercedes or I could change the destiny of few fellow human beings? For me the latter would be the answer.
I have installed infant car seats already.
Will discuss in detail about the need of savings in a separate thread.

With more than 1800 views within a couple of days one has to have a look at this thread.

What a beautiful read, touching third paragraph.

Welcome Doctor

Regarding the clutch replacement. You will miss out on the lauch you have mastered in case you go for an automatic. Try getting the clutch plate, cables replaced, I think that should make life much easier. And yes, please do upload some snaps of the 15 year old.

Sir!. hat an intro Doc! Welcome Aboard!

Hats off to your dad for the upbringing. Good to see you maintain a 15 year old Zen.

Average age that people keep cars is between 4-6 years post which they get bored and change. What a loss IMO!

Awaiting ownership of the Zen and lots of pictures.

See you on the forum!

EDIT: Good to see you multi-quote each post to respond rather than doing 'Back to back post's' that are generally done by Newbies! You do know the rules of the forum - Great one buddy. Keep it up!

Welcome to the forum, Rationalist and wish you happy times here. Agree completely that your car should be one that you have earned and are proud of, otherwise it becomes a hollow symbol meant for others to see. I wish you luck in your angel investor aspirations- not everyone is capable of putting society before self in such a way. Please start a full ownership thread on your Zen- am sure a lot of us here would quite enjoy it.

One tip- you can use the Thank button on every post rather than quote and thank each poster individually!

Welcome again and happy posting.

Welcome onboard Sir. Beautiful intro you have provided us out there. Have a beautiful stay. Please be familiar with the rules and make yourself at home.

You own one of my favourite cars. Please start an ownership review thread ASAP.

Keep revvin '
