I'm on cloud Nine! I remember learning the word ‘Serendipity’ somewhere in school as chance or accidental discoveries. This knowledge base was one such serendipity to me some 3-4 years ago. I wasn’t looking for it exactly, but realized that what I found was even more interesting. I am very lucky that I was on the right path whenever google showed me this way. Our well narrated Travelogues with stunning pictures then made me a frequent visitor. Later on it passed on to other topics too. American author Susan Cheever said “Addiction isn't about substance - you aren't addicted to the substance, you are addicted to the alteration of mood that the substance brings“ . Team-BHP to me is one such narcotic to help my mood swings, after a tedious day. Needless to say that wifey hates me hooked to this stuff.
I am in my early 30s, works as a Cost Controller for oil field construction, went on to greener pastures away from family for our daily bread. If there was one subject to my interest among the 52 papers I studied for my Mechanical engineering course, it will be Automobiles. I learned to drive myself, on my uncle’s Tata Estate. Father’s Ambassador was the real first drive and then came a Honda City 2nd Generation SMT. My heart broken when we had to part with the city within 4 years, for total loss settlement following an accident for my Brother (exactly 2 years ago from today). Luckily all ended up safe as the car took all the impact itself . I currently roam around on a 2014 i20 1.2 sports and a 2004 Bullet 350 Standard. Wish list is a bit ambitious, a GL350 one day!
I like to see new places. I’m a foodie and I like photography, but I am not good at both . My frequent work/leave rotation cycle, a supportive better half on the front seat and a trouble free two year old son gives me enough opportunities to roam around.
I consider the “Live to drive” sticker on my boot as an acknowledgement of my responsibility on the road. I am now proud to say that I am a part of this team! Thank you for each one of you behind this knowledge base and for letting me part of this. |
