NH Poochandi onboard!

So happy and excited to join this forum finally, got my user account approved yesterday in the third attempt,
after 3 years since my first attempt to register with our community.

For the past five years, I have been reading this forum as a passive member.
I must admit, I learned so much about cars, beautiful places in India only through team bhp.
Thanks to all BHPians for your travelogues.

Very much happy that I got my membership approved here and being one among the privileged.

To say something about me, I work as a software programmer in Chennai. Born and brought up in Thanjavur, Tamilnadu.
I see myself as a person who spoiled the entire life in the class first bench, learned very little, bored and
never did anything interesting until I got my right leg toe on the accelerator and gearshift on the left hand.
Love MT! No offence to AT lovers.

Apart from travelling, I love cooking, cooking new dishes is the best thing I did during study holidays as part of exam preparation

,
cooking is a stress buster activity to me, listen to music a lot; watch many movies, English TV shows.

In my garage, I own a Ford Ecosport Diesel and my father owns a Tata Zest Petrol. Before Ecosport, I owned a Ford Figo for 2.5 years.
Just like every bhpian, I love my car, a lot and I have named her (Ecosport) Lily Aldrin. Named after my favorite character in How I Met Your Mother TV Show.

Unlike my username, I drive very professional on roads. I do not drive more than 100KM speed and STRICTLY no night driving (after 8PM

) in unknown territories.
SAFETY on roads is the first priority to me, no matter even if I reach the destination bit delayed.

I came up with this username from a song I listen to, and in a way, I found this username interesting.
For those who do not understand Tamil, Poochandi is a virtual scary character (monster or Bhoot in Hindi).

I have been to most of the parts in South Kerala and almost all parts in Tamilnadu as part of my car trips.

“Chennai to Leh to Chennai” is going to be my immediate upcoming long drive, July 2nd to July 18th.
I will post the travelogue here around July end.

Looking for convoy travel partners for this Ladakh trip.
Please let me know if you have plans to drive to Ladakh around the same time. We can tag along during the trip.

welcome aboard. Nice handle there. please do share your itinerary. can see if anyone from TN38 area is interested in joining you on your trip.
Share the same taste of safety with you, while on roads. Ecosport is a very safe car (according to me). its got great features that even the costlier Creta doesnt provide (apologies to creta owners).

Welcome to the community NHpoochandi. I like that handle of yours. When I first saw it, I though it meant Dacoit.

(Just Joking.) We both share a common mother tongue, but I (temporarily don't) live in a metro city about 350 km west of your city.

I am already in touch with HVK sir. He is helping me for this trip.
Such a nice person he is, I didn't feel, I am talking to HVK sir for the first time. He is so friendly.

I got those route suggestions from HVK sir.
Have you done this route, "Belagavi to Dhule"? Is that good?
I will check with HVK sir once again during Monday night call.

Planning to take my Ecosport Diesel (43K on the ODO).

NHPoochandi, I have not done this route. When I did google got that suggestion so was just checking.

OT:

Poochandis are those "Coconut Tree Climbing Blokes" in TN, same as the occupation of the Traditional Thiyya community in Kerala. Or are those guys called Oomandis?
And Poochandis are some species of Poltergeist-ish Kuttychatthan type chaps...?
