Hi, my name is Vasanth and I reference Eminem in my intro

I'll tell you the story of how my love for everything automotive all began. An origin story if you will. Like any other story mine too began with wishful thinking. We were a bunch of bachelors who wanted to find a better place to stay in Bangalore. No one wants to rent a house to bachelors in any decent apartment. We didn't want a house in just some random decent apartment, we wanted one in Prestige Shantiniketan. We didn't just want a house, we wanted a penthouse. Our good friends wished us good luck. Our best friends cackled that we might stand a chance if we get hit by trucks full of luck

Thanks to them the very first listing for a penthouse we stumbled upon got us a yes! Looks like lady luck was indeed smiling down upon us from whatever penthouse she lives in. We put down boatloads of our hard earned money towards the security deposit. Then lady luck was kicked out of her penthouse she was living in and, it is pure guesswork at this point, her benevolent smile became a vicious snarl. We never got the penthouse. Our good friends told us that we should be happy that we got the security deposit back. Our best friends reasoned that the trucks didn't hit us hard enough

Now I'm sitting with the money I got back and without knowing what to do with it. The speed with which all this happened must have attracted the attention of the greek goddess of speed. She said "You had me at hello!" Immediately I checked out the TVS Apache, test rode the RC390 and bought the CBR250. Within a month 6000kms was up. I must say the goddess of speed was mighty pleased!

Fast forward nearly two years of riding almost every other weekend and insert a Civic and a Vento and other story lines somewhere in the timeline and that's where I am now. But two years ago I didn't even know how to drive and my weekend rides were trains. Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans and like someone great once said, we should all sing for the moment. Cheers!

Welcome home, Vasanth! Certainly caught my eye with Eminem. Big fan since his early days.

Sharing one of the best car videos he's appeared in. What an ad:

That's the best buying story I ever heard!

It's a Charger. LOL

Well, they don't make these butt kicking ads anymore. But thankfully, they have not stopped making butt kicking cars

The music builds up and up and up and silence as Eminem turns towards us. Then he proclaims boldly "This is motor city. This is what we do". Wow! He indeed is not afraid to take a stand. This is better than many of the movie trailers I've seen.

Conventional wisdom says that if you live in Bangalore, then you have to ride to Mumbai. I did that. With my cousin who was crazy enough to go doubles with me. And what did we do in Mumbai you ask? We had hummus and pita bread from Carter's Blue and came back .
