Child Restraint Systems

Hi all,

This is my first post and I really appreciate a huge prectical informative and yes, helpful members here on Team BHP. I owned M800 which I gave in for Exchange for Swift VXI.

Thanks to all of you, By reading topics here on Team BHP, I saved 3000 bucks on so called Teflon Coating (Wax-Polish Zindabad) & around 1,900 on New Car Insurance through article on claiming No Claim Bonus.

Thanks again about tips about "Before taking delivery of new Car" (I am taking delivery tomorrow, 2nd Dec' 2006 from Navneet Motors, Thane) & Tips about "Running in a new Car (0km - 1000km - 2500km).

I am a safe but confident driver, Overtake when necessary keeping in mind that oncoming vehicle should not be forced to even touch his breaks while I overtake.

Still, this is life and not everyday is lucky day, accidents do happen n though I cannot afford ABS or Airbags, I must take precautions like Seat-Belts for me and my family..Me, Wife and 5 year kid. Recently I went through an article about "What happens in a crash?" on Maruti's website, I request you to check this link : Maruti Udyog Ltd: Maruti 800, Alto, Zen, Wagonr, Versa, Esteem, Baleno, Grand Vitara, Gypsy, finance, insurance, accessories, true value, fleet management solutions

Me and my wife are in seat belts but there is nothing for my son. Every AutoCompany says use child seat, booster seat however its sad that maruti or other companies (might be exceptions) dont offer Child/Booster Seats as even optional accessory.

I am stay at Dombivli, for those who dont know, Its in Thane District of Maharashtra..Mumbai. Can anybody help me to find Child/Booster seats in Mumbai? Their prices or other details if Possible?

Thankyou again for your attention,

Rishi.

Congrats on your new car and hope it serves you well.
Why don't you try posting your query in the Accesories section?
Cheers

You got some good driving practises there. I think you can get child seats from car accessory or other stores. As long as you have a middle seat belt like a loop, you can fix the child seat in the rear seat.

Since your kid is 5, you will need only a booster seat. Try shopper's stop. Their Mothercare section as many seats and am sure you can find one that suits your needs.
