Finally, Sailor onboard Team-BHP!

Greetings...!!

Myself Gurudatta Lekavale from Pune (Electrical Engineer), currently working onboard Heavy-lift construction Vessel at Latitude 7° 37.11' N & Longitude 109° 05.90' E (Vietnam Sea). I normally work for 6 weeks offshore and 6 weeks at home (doing nothing ).

I am so excited to be here. I Was really looking forward to being approved.

My first visit to Team BHP website was in 2015, when a friend of mine sent me a link to the Leh-Ladakh travelogue of Gannu_1. Since then I liked website so much that I started exploring quite often for travelogues, new car reviews, ownership reviews, DIY's and Tech advises etc.

Previously I owned second hand Hyundai Santro XO (2009 - 2012) and Now Maruti Suzuki Swift Zdi (2012) with 84K on Odo, upgrade is due but not sure which car. Although I dream about Ford Mustang with 5L, V8 in it.

I feel proud to be part of this community & I am sure I will enhance my knowledge about cars and also contribute where appropriate.

I would like to thank you all

Over and Out.

Cheers,

Guru.

Welcome to Team-Bhp Gurudatta !!!

I was going to say that we have one our mods working in similar profession as you but then realized it was him only who introduced you to the forum

Nice to see more folks from this otherwise lesser known industry join the forum.

Hope to get more insights into sailors, sailing, ships and ship building.

Thanks Technocrat, Yes it was Gannu_1 travelogue where I started with Team BHP, also I would like to add that I am fan of his well scripted and easy DIY's, to give a try I changed my Swift horn with Skoda horn by myself.

Re: Finally, Sailor onboard Team-BHP!

Welcome aboard Guru!

Glad to have you onboard. Curious to know the details of the vessel you're posted in currently. But don't share them if your company rules don't permit you to - perfectly fine.

Here are 2 threads you can massively contribute to:

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/commer...p-engines.html

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...pics-here.html

I had the privilege of fitting out a heavy lift vessel 6 years back. It was quite an experience! Loved it. Now we are into defence ships for the Navy and Coast Guard.

While this may come across as a late post in this intro thread, I was terribly busy since the last 3 months owing to the final outfitting of the first OPV (offshore patrol vessel) we were building for the Indian Coast Guard. The vessel sailed out of our shipyard last week. She'll head to Mangalore shortly, her base port.

Hi Guru, welcome to the forum.

How does it feel doing 6 weeks on and then 6 weeks off?
