Lockdown achievement: Team-BHP membership

Hello Team-BHP folks!

I would like to thank moderators for approving the request. Glad to be a part of this forum in my 2nd attempt. It sure felt like I was in for an examination while answering the questions in my 2nd attempt. The vast and valuable content with first hand experiences inspired me to give one more attempt and I am here.

I'm a banker by profession which requires a decent amount of travel, which I love, unlike my most of the colleagues.

The cars owned -

1. Fiat Premier Padmini (1996-2001) - Our family's first car which was bought by my father. This was a 2nd hand car previously owner by a doctor. Kept spec and clean. My father himself being an automobile engineer by qualification and profession made automobiles a part of pur lives. All maintenance work was in-house on sundays with me watching him under the car and passing the tools which he called for. Sold it in 2001 for an upgrade as he got promoted.

2. Hyundai Santro (2001-2007) - First brand new car(from a showroom) bought by my father. A promotion allowed him this car and what a feeling it was to take the delivery from a showroom.

3. Honda City (2007-2015) - A brand new honda city made my father a proud man. This was the 10th anniversary edition of the City. Beautiful drive to say the least.

4. Nissan Terrano Diesel(2015-Present) - My dad's present car. Stunning torque and the suspension quality. Rubbish on the interior and features provided. But, still going strong and he doesn't want to upgrade yet.

5. Maruti Suzuki WagonR Lxi CNG(2014-2017): My first purchase. Always special. Fantastic mileage on the CNG. Light on the pocket, which is exactly I wanted. Sold it after clocking 1.03 lakh kms in 3 years. Still fetched anamazing after sale price. Never regretted owning this car. No troubles whatsoever.

6. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Vxi CNG(2017-Present): My 2nd car. Got used to the CNG mileage and couldn't think of anything else. Value for money at it's best with a good drive ability. Have clocked 90k on the odo. Lockdown prevented it to hit the 1 lakh mark.

Apart from automobiles, travel and badminton keeps me happy.

Wonderful to be here finally!

Welcome aboard MaG. Always a pleasure seeing more members joining from Pune.

Earlier I would have said keep a watch on the meet thread but COVID and lockdown has changed quite a few normals.

Stay safe.

Welcome to the forum MaG. Nice - a Padmini to Terrano/Ertiga. A wonderful evolution with time. I'm sure truck load of memories attached with each one of them. Cherish! Also liked that there has been a nice brand variance in choices. No patronization or loyalty with a brand but a clear thought process in decision making. We look forward to some ownership threads then! (These threads are in boom in the lockdown / Covid times too.)

What area of MH12 do you hail from? See you around on the forum.

Hi Reinhard,

Thanks for the words of motivation. I'll come up with an ownership thread soon for sure. As rightly pointed by you, I do have a bagfull of memories associated with all our automobiles.
I'm located in Balewadi presently. How about you?
