Hello everyone! I arrived 2 days back

Hi There!

I guess my quest to find Team-BHP started with seeing a LTD sticker on one of the cars way back in 2008 and I became a visitor then. Gradually, as it happens, I wanted to contribute to this wonderful forum and then first attempt to become a registered member started in Mar 2014. I have, now, finally arrived after 8 long years!

At the time of my first attempt, I had just started learning to drive the driving school car and was struggling to get my permanent license because I had successfully flunked the written test twice and crossed that line of seeing my name on the permanent license only after oral tests.

I was just too lazy to learn driving in those times; and I never wanted to; because I always had either drivers or accessible public transport around me. So, never bothered then to get an LMV licence. However, as fate often has it, I too got married and then I had to learn the driving to overcome the guilt of forcing her into usage of public transport, especially the associated pollution and wait aspects were driving that guilt in me. Mine is, however, a love marriage. But, when I look back, strangely, I just did not have that guilt all throughout the courtship!

For my car, Team-BHP actually helped me create decision table for making purchase. My next ride is due now but I am still not decided between fossil fuel or electric car. I have time till October 2023 to decide so I am, meanwhile, traversing the list of fossil fuel cars from my shortlist.

As time progressed, my frequency of visits to TBHP only increased and now it is multiple times daily. There are many handles here, whose posts I have been reading for so long that I have a mental map of posts and handles and those handles seem like people I have met in person many times. I always got awestruck with this community and the quality of contents it has been consistently producing for so long. No wonder, it commands so much of trust! There is a lot of multifaceted learning here!

I am employed in Bangalore, and as commonly expected from people coming from there, I work in software or IT industry in one of the MNCs.

I have a just about 5 year old son, he still has few months to go to reach that milestone. From the time he was conceived, all aspects around him became my foremost interests and they still continue to be. Beyond that, I spend time in Nature and Wildlife Photography, Love travelling to various wild places like Kabini, Madumalai, Periyar, Corbett, Bandhavgarh, Kanha etc., Love going to places where roads don't exist and I have started taking my son too to such tracks lying in the lap of nature, Puzzling or problem solving, Reading and Writing for causes - it means that I write to administration for overall betterment of our society and nation in general on various aspects like education, healthcare, tourism etc (I have done many communications on those lines), Learning to play music, Learning carpentry (I play with Dramel at home and destroy objects), Fixing broken electronic toys or completely make them irrecoverable and my such list just goes on and on.

I have 2 cars at home, Dzire and Ignis topends, both petrol. The Dzire is my drive and the other is for my wife. I had booked Seltos in July 2019 when the booking were getting accepted but cancelled due to a long term investment opportunity that I found which made more sense then. I have a long list of vehicles that I have test driven ranging from Celerio to Q5 Quattro and I have my favourites in them. Recently I test drove XUV 700 and Carens. I haven't yet driven an EV.

I am thrilled to be here and hope to meet some of you in person soon! Thanks for letting me be part of such a wonderful place! I feel privileged!

Thanks srini1785. I am safe there, it is extremely unlikely that she would be visiting the Introduction section of forum. Her quests of finding answers gets satisfied by instantaneous google searches and that will not lead her here
