Hola from Chennai

Hey everyone, Anupam from Kolkata here, but working in Chennai for the past 7 years. Thrilled to be finally a part of the gang. Have been practically inhabiting this forum of late, because I had recently fixated my eyes firmly on a 2019 Škoda Octavia 2.0 TDI MT in great condition that I saw listed by a Škoda showroom in Chennai as a company-owned car (apparently belonged to their MD himself, if I am to believe them!). Less than 2.5 years old, just short of 27k on the odo, and under extended warranty until Dec 2025. I've now gone on and bitten the bullet, and the Octy is napping in my parking space as I type, but not before I almost memorised every review/thread on the model/variant I could dig up here. Greatly enjoying the upgrade from the 2010 Honda Civic 1.8 IVTEC that I finally sold off to help pay for the new diva. The showroom guys are being jerks with a few things (it's a used car, after all), but that doesn't take anything away from the car itself, she's a thing of beauty.

I would however, from time to time, come pester experienced Octy owners here for tips and advice on keeping her in good shape. So thanks in advance for the trouble.

Thanks Saisree and Utkarsh, appreciate the welcome. The car is due for routine service in a week, so hopefully she'll come out of it in even better health. I mean, I can't find anything wrong with her right now, but y'know…some additional pampering can do no harm. Took her to the service centre the other day because there was a rattling sound audible inside the cabin when driving over slightly rough(er) roads; as well as a (faint) click/thud everytime I turned the steering wheel to the right. Since the warranty is good until Dec 2025, they fixed both those problems without much fuss.
