Hi Team-BHP,
I have been a lurker on this platform since 2012 at least (that’s what I can remember), have read each and every review of every new car, and even went into depth on several of the threads. But I never took the plunge towards a membership, because I didn’t think I could have added to the discussion.
Why did / do I think so, I am not an enthusiast, nor am I an engineer. I neither understand the importance of apex of the curve in racing, nor do I understand the 2-H / 4-H / 4-L in an off-roader. I am a marketer from my heart, with a specialisation in Market Research, evolving to Marketing Strategy. I understand communication and I understand why some companies do what they do.
That is not to say I don’t love cars. I love driving and it is my preferred mode of travel. My idea of a perfect day is a relaxing highway drive of 400-500 kms with a speed of 90-100.
My journey with vehicles started with a motorcycle in 2001, a Suzuki Fiero. I had driven this motorcycle in Delhi, Port Blair, Manipal, Mysore, Chandigarh and finally Gurgaon in 2009, when it was sold to my neighbour (who disposed it only a couple of years ago). I moved on to cars after this.
My car journey started with an Indica in 2005, the 54 bhp non-turbo Diesel. I learnt driving in that car, and the nuance of priming the accelerator 2 seconds before a gap opens up was taught to me by that car. I got a car to drive for me in 2009, a 2001 model Esteem VX (without power steering). Drove it for 2 years and then bought a Chevrolet Aveo. I bought a WagonR in 2012 for my wife, and in 2014, gave the Aveo to my dad and bought myself a Diesel i20. We let go of the WagonR in 2020 and bought a Seltos.
We currently have the Aveo, i20 and Seltos, used by the different members of the family. We also own an Activa for neighbourhood runs.
Apart from Cars, I am an Arsenal fan, since 2005 (the Barcelona Arsenal UCL final was my first match) and I have the belief that their bad luck since the. is due to me

. I used to play NFS, and NFS U2 is still my favourite. I have an Asus ROG laptop, but I’ll admit I don’t play as often as I would like to.
That’s it from my side, hope to be able to contribute here as much as possible. Thank you for having me.
