An excited hello to the esteemed members and mods

Greeting!
I'm Abhishek from Raipur, Chattisgarh. I am currently preparing for JEE, and hoping to become an automotive engineer.

I stumbled upon Team-BHP in the midst of me and my dad's car-buying quest, and I am embarassed to say that I spend a (presumably)unhealthy 3-4 hours on the forums, reading Hot Threads, News and old reviews.

I am delighted to have my membership approved, since I am in the final stages of the aforementioned quest and would really really like to ask some questions before pulling the trigger.

Cars I have driven:
1) 2005 Santro Xing (when i took driving classes)
2) 2014 Honda City P (My dad's trusted ride)
3) 2020 Honda Amaze (My cousin brother's car)

Looking forward to acquiring all kinds of new knowledge!

Welcome to TeamBHP Abhishek (great username btw).

I too was in a similar situation when I joined TeamBHP in October 2021 (although I was preparing for Law and B-School entrance exams). Nice to see someone preparing for JEE who doesn't want to take CSE or ECE. (I couldn't do it, I had a burning hatred towards Math and Physics in school).

If you're ever in Bhubaneshwar or Bangalore drop me a DM.

May your fuel prices be low and your wheel horsepower be high.

Thanks! I was surprised that this wasn't taken. I am a big fan of the old Top Gear and Grand Tour.

Amen to that!

Love the choice of username! Welcome onboard. Good luck with the JEE preparation! I'm also a student, albeit in high school and studying business and economics (IGCSE AS level as we speak). As for the multiple hours spent online on Team-BHP when looking for a car, I am also thoroughly guilty of having done that, back in July and August 2021.

Nice list of cars to have driven so far. Hope to see you around here soon!

Welcome. Social media can be very addictive, and often kids in such phase of life often get themselves dumb phones to avoid distractions.

Please manage your time well, and wishing you all the best for your exams.

I am stunned that you have so much clarity about what you want to do. During our JEE times (about 30 years back), most kids were so open minded, that they were ready to take anything from computer science to textile engineering (depending on the rank). Goal was just admission.

My kid is also going to be competing with you in JEE this year, if you are in class 12.
