Finally! TheRoyalsLady is a BHPian

Greetings to all fellow BHPians.

Elated to be here and able to interact with you all. Have been a avid reader of this forum since a long time, whenever I or anyone around me needed some car advice, Team-Bhp was the place to go.

Last year, in the month of January, when the omicron scare was prevailing, and i was spending a significant amount of time scrolling through all the travelogues, adventures, a long set dream to own and learn a Royal-Enfield revived. Started searching through the forum with a blank head, and within a couple of days, based on the reviews from other riders, finalized on The Meteor 350. Loved the looks, styling, the cruiser stance, and everything about it. I knew it was not the first ideal bike for a novice to start with, but it was my "Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara" moment and I decided to take the plunge.

Now came the challenge to get one, as the waiting periods were running into months. Spent the entire day calling RE dealers across Delhi-NCR and luckily for me, amid the lockdown in capital, one dealer in Noida had a Steller Black Meteor as a customer cencellation. The stars aligned and withing a couple of days, I got My BAGHEERA home, somehow.

Then began the journey, that i hope would last a lifetime. Learning to ride, initial baby steps although it wasn't that easy to do with a 200KG beast, but once you are on it, and its above 10KMPH it suddenly transforms.

Loving my Rider's Journey so far and would love ti share more of my experiences in due time. Would love to connect with fellow riders, really seeking for any Female riders too here.

Cheers !!!

Welcome to the forum. When I lived in Delhi I was a member of two biker groups, the Royal Mavericks, a RE based club. And I also participated in all of the Delhi Bikers Breakfast runs.

Both are great, very easy going, lots of activities and also female riders. You can find them on Facebook. Tell them I said hi!

Look forward to be reading about your experiences riding with them, or others.

Glad to have diversity amongst the most respected automotive forum, welcome . Look forward to see a biker's perspectives from your experiences.

Your choice of the handle name seems inspired by your first automobile love (like most of us here, probably). Eventually, when you move on from this bike to some other 2/4-wheeler, the handle name will remain with you (you can't change it) potentially enabling you to recall those lovely moments why you chose that in the first place!

Thank you @JoshMachine, the handle is indeed thoughtfully chosen. No matter what bike I upgrade to in future, my first one, My bagheera will always be there in my garage. Looking forward to kick starting this lifelong journey with all the T-Bhp guidance i can get.

Thank you so much. Truly a firm believer of safety while riding, and proper gear comes paramount. Just curious, if we have any female admins or mods on this forum ?

Unfortunately not, we never had any long standing or contributing women folks who could sneak into the group Maybe you can start the race with some nice travelogues and bike reviews.

Once again welcome and enjoy the stay.
