Of course I Struggle, I just don't Quit

I had read this quote long ago during the carefree college days and didn't give two hoots. We were the rebellious kind who thought we know everything under the sun and we can do anything and everything. It was only when I stepped into the real world, the evil, plotting, competitive corporate world, did I really understood what the quote meant. And how important it was to draw inspiration when you were down and on verge of being out.

Why am I saying all this and what has it got to do with my introduction?

Well well, getting the membership of this niche forum wasn't easy. It was a little bit of a struggle. But I was determined to get an entry and so with persistence, a little leak of emotions and with a timely helping hand of one of the moderators, here I am. A proud and an extremely excited member of Team BHP

Hello friends, my name is Maddy and I am from NCR region, Ghaziabad to be precise. Though I originally belong to Gujarat, I moved to NCR exactly 20 years ago.

I got hooked to automobiles when dad bought home a used dual tone Fiat/Premier Padmini, when I was in 10th class and a year later I got my Hero Puch "bike".

We sold off the Fiat in couple of years and dad bought a brand new white MS Zen (1998/99). That was the 1st Zen in our society and boy oh boy I simply loved the kind of attention I started getting from both the dark and fair skinned teens of my age.

I moved to NCR in 2003 and a year earlier dad had bought me Pulsar 150, which to this day runs as butter-smooth as it did 21 years ago! Since moving here, my first purchase was a 2008 Mahindra Logan (I know!), 2014 Honda City and my latest steed, New Kia Seltos 2023 GTX+, delivered in Oct'23.

It was Feb 2023 when I started looking at online reviews of potential cars, when I came across TBHP forum and since then got hooked. I came across so much valuable information from the esteemed members, which helped me shortlist a few cars and take an informed decision on finally choosing to go for the GTX+.

I am happy and excited to be amongst and one of you. I look forward to engaging on various topics,

Welcome to the forum Maddy! This is going to be one addictive website.

Just curious, why do you call yourself the Turbohead from NCR? You really woke me up from my nap!

Thank you for a warm welcome Turbohead. Indeed this is a very addictive forum. A good addiction to have.

On your curiosity, well let me just say, after years of working in a tough corporate set up, getting married and becoming a father, I have learnt the art of how to channelise the hot air (stress, challenges, yada yada) in my head to improve my efficiency and power

And not to mention, after unsuccessfully lobbying for a turbo petrol car in 2014 (bowed down to family pressure) I now finally own a turbo petrol car.
