Hello fellow bhpians,

Vaibhav here from Bangalore which is the city I currently call home.

I am 31 years old and working in the IT sector (Tech Support), your average corporate slave

Been a long follower of this forum before I decided to join in recently and introduce myself to this amazing car community.

My interest with cars and motorsports arises from my love of Formula 1 which I started watching in my teenage years in the early 2000's and also with motor review shows on news channels that aired back in the day and Top Gear etc. and I always spent a lot time of reading about car reviews, new tech and features and how they work.

I learned driving early on in my college days however only drove occasionally when I got the chance to drive my dad's car, I have been driving more regularly in the past 1.5 years and mostly enjoy driving on open roads/highways outside of Bangalore

We had a Ford Ikon 1.3L Flair which lived with us from 2004 to 2021 but we had to sadly let it go due to Delhi-NCR's 15 year car scrapping policy and we currently have a Brezza 1.5L Lxi which does duty with us now.

I personally own a 2023 TVS Jupiter 125 (my 1st vehicle purchase) but I am also slowly gaining interest in 2-wheelers and want to learn riding and enjoying bike rides as well.

My other interests include watching movies, listening to music (not an audiophile), aviation and aerospace and photography.

Welcome on board! What a coincidence; we have nearly the same interests and my dad had a grey 2004 Ford Ikon 1.3 Flair which we kept with us until it was 13 years old (unfortunately having to part with it due to repeated fuel pump failures, the approaching 15-year mark and the fact that we did not require 2 cars after moving to Hyderabad). I still remember that car very fondly.

Welcome to the forum, its great to have you onboard.

Again, quite a few things in common. I'm based out of Bangalore as well & similar to you, do enjoy the ocassional drive on open roads/highways on the city's outskirts.

My dad also owned a Ford Ikon back in the day, but sold it off after a few years of ownership.

Grown up watching F1, Top Gear and many automotive shows from the 2000s.

Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures with your growing interest in 2-wheelers.
