Greetings from Gurgaon (or should I say Gurugram!?)

Greetings to all fellow auto enthusiasts!

First of all, I would like to extend thank you to moderators for having me on board of an esteemed forum for all auto enthusiasts as well as auto experts alike!

I have been following/referring to team-bhp forums for various auto related queries, since I don't know when. Having recently bought Taigun, I thought it was an appropriate time to be a contributor to the forums. Only taking away while not giving back to the community should be a punishable offense!

I will be approaching my mid-40s in a year or two! Have a stable, but not too ambitious, career as an IT professional. I love playing badminton, chess and photography is now somewhat subdued passion, but still alive.

I started driving in 2015, so it has been approximately 10 years that I plunged on the roads of Delhi NCR. I had bought a pre-loved Hyundai i10 Asta 1.2 Kappa2 (2012 model) in 2015. This car had been a steadfast rock for me and my family. It had supported us through thick and thin without giving any issue whatsoever in last 10 years! Maintaining the car is my passion and my i10 had been serviced regularly without fail! It was an emotional moment last month, when I said good bye to it!

Come 2025, and I have decided to say Goodbye to Gurgaon as well! Going back to Ahmedabad, where I have my extended family. Because of this decision, I decided to start hunting for a new car in Dec 2024. My close friend in Ahmedabad has Skoda Kushaq. So, obviously I had long drives in the car and it felt pretty comfortable and rock solid. I took test drives of Kushaq as well as Taigun in Gurgaon. I had made up my mind for Taigun towards end of Dec 2024. Having reached Ahmedabad on 31st Dec 2024 morning, I started talking to local dealers since the moment I arrived in Ahmedabad and got one of the finest deal on VW Taigun Topline AT 1.0 ES by evening. Sales representatives were eager to finalize the deal before end of December, so got the best out of the deal. Made initial payment and processed finance before 8 pm in the evening and voila! I was proud owner of a German power horse!

I got delivery of my rising blue Taigun on 16th January 2025. Drew it to Gurgaon and what an amazing journey it has been with this car. It feels like, it doesn't want to sit idle. I find excuses to drive it away!

Long story short, I am grateful to team BHP for having me here! Looking forward to start contributing to discussions on the forums with fellow auto enthusiasts and experts!
