Hello from Cochin

I've been hanging around and pestering BUSA about his VDI for more than a month now, but hadn't introduced myself because i didnt know how to start a new thread
Just returned to india after 4 years in the UK
I'm going to be shuttling between cochin and coimbatore till I decide where to settle down(I'm a doctor)

had made a brief appearance at the last CBE trackday and loved it. i'm going to be religious with the trackdays from now on.

BTW- my family is beginning to mutter that TBHP is some sort of a cult as i'm always on this forum

Cochin has an airport parking lot that doubles up as a race/autocross track on occassions. Coimbatore has a track. This should make your decision easier.

Tell me about it. Ultimately they will come around. Like my wife who was passing comments on ergonomics, NVH + plastic quality AND checking out rear seat legroom with the front seats all the way back yesterday. She KO'ed the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

I've nothing against petrol, in fact, i miss the redline thrills from my petrol cars, but this is definitely easier on the pocket

My name's Louis(pronounced- the american way-lewis)

Yeah, sometimes I think Team-BHP needs a new punch line.

"The Addictive Indian Car Community".

Welcome to Team-BHP. You'll find fellow Kochinites all over BHP. Enjoy your stay and I hope you'll make a lot of friends.

Cheers!

And please go through the rules and announcements sections.

1. Its not my ride. I got a test ride thanks to fellow BHPian California Knight who made sure an SRT8 was available that day.

2. Its a highly overrated powerplant. This was my first SRT experience and I must say the powerplant can easily be mistaken for a diesel from the NVH characteristics. My wife thought it was a diesel.

3. The rest of the car isnt much to talk about. Poor plastics like the Safari, wind squealing/whistling through gaps in the driver's door, etc etc.

4. An AWD and not a 4WD from Jeep.

Huge disappointment, and I love my Chevy V8 more after that test drive.

But we digress - lets get back to welcoming the newcomers.
