glad to be part of this forum

Fellow Team-BHPians,

I introduce myself as Subhash Chandra Yadav, a car enthusiast, an avid biker and a quintessential IT pro.

In this world comprising of mere mortals, I am glad to be part of an exciting group of people who crave for the 'Need for Speed'! I kept looking for a variety of platforms across the Web for writing about my experiences, the vehicles I possess. However, what I see is a host of forums comprising of juvenilles full of prejudice and false pride, bickering and fighting on the Internet for their space. Guess they are not man enough!

So, here I am. Looking forward to some serious discussions on cars. My first car was a Ford Ikon 1.3 Exi. Totally in love with this car, eventually gave it to my father and looks like he too is enjoying the drive.

I currently own a Mitsibushi Lancer SLXi 2001 model. Bought it from Raj Motors, a second-hand dealer in Pune. Was always a dream to drive and own a Lancer and I fulfilled that dream this year in June. Have driven it for like 3000 odd kms and has been simply great so far. I keep switching it with my Dad for the good old Ikon. Recently completed a marathon 4300 kms road-trip on the Ikon visiting some great places across five states covering the North and West of India.

Dream drive is the 'Golden Quadrilateral' and I must say that most car and bike enthusiasts nurture the same dream! The highways in India keep getting better with each passing day. All I can say is go out and quench your thirst for lustful driving across our motherland.

Thanks
-Subhash

Nice...the Ikon and the Lancer were the enthusiasts choice in early 2000. How about putting up a thread of your 4xxx km drive in the travelogues section of Team-BHP? I would agree that Indian highways are only getting better with time, and would much prefer a drive from Mumbai to Panchgani / Goa than on the boring freeways of the States!

You wont find too much of that here . Will also be a good time to point you toward our Board Rules section. Do take a moment to understand our posting protocol.

See you around the forums!

GTO,

Thanks for extending a warm welcome to this forum. Like I mentioned earlier and I reiterate I am glad to be with 'Men' finally.

Yes, I have yet to write the travelogue. Still catching up rest after the mammoth drive across the five states.

You bet, one does not need to be in the US or Germany to enjoy driving...Our highways can quench the thirst of the enthusiasts to a large extent ... expect the 'Golden Quadrilateral' to be the ultimate of the roads ever made in India ! Still some way to go before it attains completion ... but I could see during my trip that its well on course ... Some of the roads I travelled cannot get any better! I have not seen roads outside India, so cant really compare with something like the ones in US or Europe...but trust me they are rocking! tarmac, metal all kinda roads inviting you to rip through in those manic machines!

My next car would most probably be a Octy RS but I am saving up on this one ... still sometime before I can lay my hands on one!
