Here I am folks, after all 2 weeks of lurking around I am in the Team. I love reading the forum especially the DIY stuff!

For a small intro -

Name - Irfan
Place - bangalore -R.T.Nagar
Status - apart from being married - nothing

Education - post graduate
Field - Mechanical
Working as - Senior Engineer with Satyam in their Engineering services.
Hobbies - OK THIS IS THE BIG ONE

I build hovercrafts : Home

Then I started with CNC machines
My steel frame small router (Madvac Inspiration) - CNCzone.com-The Ultimate Machinist Community

I am married with a cute son for my recreation : me and him connect a lot and he's just 2.

Presently I dont any car - but I wanna own one Marshall 4wd to drag my hovercraft along(when I build a new one). Then I am gonna mod the Mahindra marshall to have a good ICE and paint it Black with alloys - just for the looks.

A distant relative of mine built one out of fibreglass, and even used that successfully. After some applause from the govt and media, it all came to naught

Guys, thanks very much for the warm welcome!

Hobbies that I have are an addiction - but my wife feels its better than being addicted to smoking and all other bad stuff. only that there is lot of drain on finances, but i have learnt to leave with that.

As you all guys know now that I am a sort of hard core DIY'r i was amazed at the ICE carputers chugging along!

Hope my CNC starts working soon that I can help a host of team-bhp'ians to realize their dreams to cut out metal and mdf for the various mods, especially that my CNC router can machine wood and plastic for 2.5 foot by 4 foot! and also light metal like Alu!

Hope its gonna be a wonderful teaming up with the folk all over Team -BHP

Welcome to Tbhp. nice to hear that you are interested in building things, I have been trying my hands at CNC but since I am more of electronics person have stuck up at the mechanical part of it[ I am trying to build cnc for metal craving 3D], would like to discuss that in some new thread.... and get knowledge from you. I had built Hovercraft long time ago...no time now for things like this but would like to start again....
