hi
i've been referring to recommendations on team bhp for a few years now and decided i need to join in and contribute in any way i can.

i'm 34 and presently based in bangalore for the last few years.
professionally i'm in the armed forces and involved in design and development, understandably can't give any details beyond that.

thanks to my job i've seen almost the entire country and have had the good fortune of driving through some of the nicest (read greenest most pristine) areas in india.

i've been thru a luna in school followed by a suzuki samurai which i still have and a maruti zen that is my primary transport presently..

have been planning on buying a bullet for the last 10 years but haven't got down to buying it. the pragmatist in me always wins and the bullet dream loses..but one day i will..
actually have my eye on a honda city of late and plan on starting by going for a test drive one of these days.

some memorable trips i've done are

vizag-araku on a luna
innumerable drives up to mckleodganj
the north east in a 1960 fiat borrowed from a colleague..(dax sir if you read this a million thanks, we never thanked you enough)
bangalore-goa-bombay on a suzuki (the last leg in a truck)
three trips to sarchu (enroute to leh) will reach leh one day..
coorg recently with my wife annu and dog plato (lab)

would like to thank all team bhpians for all the invaluable tips in the forums..

Welcome to the forum. Do read up on the New Honda City thats about to come before making the decision.

Welcome and like Eddy said do read the following thread. Also if you can wait a bit there are few new model launchs happening at the end of the year and next year start. Happy Hunting!

What caught my eye is the three trips to Sarchu! Without having gone on to Leh, you probably hold a kind of record!
Never heard of anyone going there thrice and .... returning, without going to Leh!

its time i got lehed...
But two of those trips to sarchu were just impromptu drives up the hills on my bike.
Only on one occasion was a leh plan aborted.
Anyway besides the drive up i have been to leh very often,
actually every year on work..
