Thanks getsurya and swifty, and the post in which i replied to aah got deleted when i already corrected my mistake there myself.

Aah: Just to put my point across again, howdie also means the same thing when used at a time and place like this one.

Just after seeing the accident pictures thread here, i have sworn never to go beyond the speed limits on any road. Somehow i feel safer and a lot more confident now when i'm on the road.

Well for the about me part, sorry for not posting earlier, i'm a neat guy from Lucknow, currently based in New Delhi, working in the Intellectual property business. Interested in cars a lot and expect some good buys in the near future. cheers:

I didn't get what Aah78 was saying at first -- but then i realised :

Howdy = hello
Howdie = midwife

Please have a look at the link, apparently no one is interested in what i said in my previous post?

howdie people - Google Search

I think it should be clear that its ok to use howdie too in casual English or are we taking a test here?

And thanks Rehaan for the welcome.

Aah78, A smiley would have done the job ,

Thanks HotChillyPepper, the place just rocks! Even found a thread about restoring my dear Fiat 1100 Millecento, and that too of the same year as mine, 1956!
But restoration afterwards, i need to get her into working condition, which seems like a simple job just becasue of this place!
