Another bong in our beloved bangaluru

Well came to Bangalore last Apr.. love this city.. but Mumbai was where I have started my career.. so really get nostalagic about amchi Mumbai.. I hope it regains it's lost glory for SW..
Anyway.. learnt driving in M800.. gave the exam in front of Sanjay Kappor's bunglow in Andheri(W).. that's where the RTO office is located in Western Suburb.. somehow got the license without any major goof up..
The first car which I owned is a Mazda Protege 1.8L DOHC stick shift (fully loaded).. during my stay in US.. that's when I learnt real driving.. and that's when my definition of "boy's toys" shifted from laptop to car. I used to boast to my friends (who had the usual obsession with cars) before going to US.. that if I ever get enough money.. it'll be first spent on laptop.. and then other priorities.. Well.. situation changed my plans.. had to buy the car first.. (before laptop) ;-)
Anyway.. thoroughly enjoyed the car.. had to sell it while coming back to India.. after returning back to India.. ..Though my relatives in Kharagpur insisted that I bring it along..

while I was in Mumbai.. never felt the need of buying a car..
But after I relocated to Bangalore.. on the first month itself.. bought myself a used 98 Zen Vx (no i - no PS, PW) - 41k.. it was in good mint condition.. I know I paid 10k more.. but she's good.. I mean really good.. can't even feel that it doesn't have power steering.. gives me 13-14kpl with 50% AC.. I love her so much.. not much of highway driving done.. only once to Shivansamundran..
Came to know about this group from R2Iforum (I think Samurai posted it)..
About..me.. not that strong in Mech Eng.. musa.. from Electronics..musa need to get quick funda about carz and carz..freeflow.. K&N.. NOS.. cool.. musa is addicte to this forum..

proteges dont come with a 1.8 litre motor ..
the sedan has 2 variants 1.6 litr (103 bhp) and the 2.0 litr ( 130 bhp)
where as the 4 door hatch comes only in the 2.0 litre engine ..
the protege 5 speed pushes 170 bhp with the same.. 2.0 L engine ..

miata has a 1.8 litre engine ...

cheers
