Dream Conti

Hi everyone. I became a member of this site a while ago in search of a contessa. I'm glad to say that i have finally found it and bought it. Am going to start work on it immediately. I plan to refurbish it. But with a more contemporary look. I will keep posting pics on the site as it comes along to show everyone the progress. I will post the pics of it, as it is right now, tomorrow. I plan to refurbish everything in it from the pedals to the seat-belts and from the headlights to the exhaust. Since it's an long process the final picture isn't in my head yet. So any ideas are welcome. This is my dream project since i was a little kid. And i'm sure it will be turning heads by the time its done.

Welcome to Team-BHP.
If you're a car person, the Contessa is a good choice. It's a superb car, especially for touring. Even now, it manages to turn heads like nothing else.
Since this is an introduction thread, please let us know more about yourself.

appreciate your interest shown on conti. good luck going forward.

i entered into one such project 4 years back, but to say the conti i took was 94 model with only 31K kms clocked with seat covers still lying beneath the seat, the cars body was superb but unused for years & i ended up changing right from tires to batteries, rubbers, springs, hoses & underchasis parts etc etc, now its trim.
waiting for the snaps sooner.

Hi guys,

I have been hunting for a Contessa for a long time now and have fi nally found 1. The only issue is the manufacturing date on the registration shows 2004.
Do you guys know exactly when the Contessa was stopped manufacturing?

Thanks,

Karan.

@ Ace6120: AFAIK, HM stopped producing contessa in 2002.
